What if I can tell you that you can design and accelerate the level of success that you always wanted in your life and career? How many times have you wonder if you are wasting your time following someone else plans and dreams instead of following your own? Here is a little tip you need to know today: To be consistent, you need to focus 100 percent on the assignments you have in front of you. You might believe you’re thinking clearly in the moments that matter most. But in all likelihood, when the pressure is on, you won’t be thinking at all. And your subsequent actions will inevitably move you further from the results you ultimately seek—love, belonging, success, wealth, victory. According to Farnam Street founder Shane Parrish, we must get better at recognizing these opportunities for what they are, and deploying our cognitive ability in order to achieve the life we want.

What are the main four sources of it? How can you develop more confidence in your abilities? These are some of the questions I'll answer in this short book. The advice you're about to read is based both on scientific research and my personal experience.

Do you ride the escalator or do you take the stairs? No matter how you define success, it always requires one thing: self-discipline. But as popular speaker and strategist Rory Vaden explains, we live in an "escalator world", one that's filled with shortcuts, quick fixes, and distractions that make it all too easy to slide into procrastination, compromise, and mediocrity. What seems like an easier path is really much harder in the end - and, most important, it won't take you where you want to go.

Perfectionism is a naturally limiting mindset. For example, kids are taught to color inside the lines, and any color outside the lines is considered a mistake that must be corrected. Imperfectionism frees us to live outside the lines, where possibilities are infinite, mistakes are allowed, and self-judgment is minimal.

For many people, procrastination is a daily vice that prevents them from doing really important and urgent tasks when there is no outside pressure. Postponement can become a problem not only in daily private activities, but especially in professional life. Psychologists go as far as to describe procrastination as a disruption of self-regulation, since the procrastinator cannot endure anything unpleasant in the short term to achieve something positive in the long term.

Publisher's summary
Overcoming Life's Disappointments, Challenges, Obstacles, Changes, and the Odds and Getting Back Up with a Transition Plan
What is the right way of approaching a problem? Each of us has different ideas. There are those who consign life's problems as belonging to the realm of the abstract, reasoning that we cannot truly prepare for them anyway - so be it as it may. There are those on the opposite end of the spectrum who seem to do everything possible to prepare for problems when they come, consuming an overwhelming amount of time and resources to make "bulletproof" plans that often fail.
It is true that one can never really expect when a problem will come, and it is also true that there is no single answer to all problems we might face. After all, so many people are trying to solve things daily that if there was a single formula, it would already have been found.
However, there is a structure. There is a certain road we can follow that cannot show us the answers but will empower us to find them. When problems arise and the odds seem insurmountable, these preparations will enable us to transition to a stronger position, allowing us to find the answer in record time.
This book will take you through a journey along this road, tearing down what was thought to be common-sense ideas and constructing an entirely new reality - one that will help you to see the wide variety of options you've always had (and perhaps taken for granted), even when the strongest of storms hit. We will skip the feel-good mumbo jumbo that does not really add value - you will get only concrete and proven steps to turn your life around.
Here is a preview of what you will learn
- How to improve your self-awareness and build up your inner control
- How to draw the line between the real problem and worthless worries
- How to turn a blind eye to all the distractions around you

S.U.M.O. stands for Shut Up, Move On. It's a phrase to say to ourselves (and sometimes others) when we are acting or thinking in a way that is hindering our ability to succeed. It doesn't necessarily mean "get over it" or "pull yourself together" (although there may be occasions when both responses are necessary): "Shut Up" means stop what you're doing, take time out to reflect, let go of baggage and beliefs that hinder your potential; "Move On" means tomorrow can be different from today, look for new possibilities, don't just think about it, take action.
