Publisher's summary

This program includes an introduction read by the author.

A fascinating biography and in-depth look at the work of best-selling writer and psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson, by award-winning author Jim Proser.

Who is psychologist, professor, best-selling author, and YouTube personality Dr. Peterson? What does he believe in? Who are his followers? And why is he so controversial? These are among the many questions raised in this compelling, exhaustively researched account of his life - from Peterson’s early days as a religious-school student in small-town Canada to his tenure at Harvard to his headline-making persona of the present day.

In Savage Messiah, we meet an adolescent Peterson who, scoffing at the "fairy tales" being taught in his confirmation class, asks his minister how it’s possible to believe the Bible in light of modern scientific theory. Unsatisfied with the answer he’s been given, Peterson goes on to challenge other authority figures who stood in his way as he dared to define the world in his own terms. This won Peterson many enemies and more admirers than he could have dreamed of, particularly during the digital era, when his nontraditional views could be widely shared and critically discussed. Still, a fall from grace was never far behind.

Peterson had always preached the importance of free speech, which he believed was essential to finding life-saving personal meaning in our frequently nihilistic world. But when he dismissed Canadian parliament Bill C-16, one that compelled the use of newly-invented pronouns to address new gender identities, Peterson found himself facing a whole new world. Students targeted him as a gender bigot. Conservatives called him their hero. Soon, Peterson was fixed firmly at the center of the culture wars - and there was no turning back.

With exclusive interviews of Dr. Peterson, as well as conversations with his family, friends, and associates, this audiobook reveals the heart and mind, teachings and practices, of one of the most provocative voices of our time.

THANK YOU! Hearing Jordan Petersons Story Saved my

Hearing Jordan Petersons story has help to save my sanity during a very tumultuous period in my life. On January 8th of 2018 I was swore in as a city councilman and started asking questions in a small town in Kansas. That's led me down a path of unfathomable truth about the reality of corruption in government and the socialism machine. Jordan Petersons story has given me strength to keep going when I've lost nearly everything my business and more recently my girlfriend and son.

If you've followed Jordan, this book isn't needed

Very well done book highlighting Jordans achievements and putting together a useful timeline. If you're familiar with him then this book is just added information, but if you're not this is a great way to get caught up about him.

Overall worth the read/listen

If you have listened to and or read a decent amount of Mr. Peterson’s work there isn’t a lot of information that is new. However, still very interesting, well written and worth the read/listen.

Great Insight about The Person and his perspective

A very informative biographical read about Jordan Peterson, Ph,D, clinical psychologist, and his life’s work, education, and experiences and the postmodern world we are currently experiencing. One of Mr. Jordan’s reveled understandings gained thru knowledge and experience is that human morality has been given to humanity from a supernatural source (God) because if it was made up by humans’ it would always be subject to changing as needed buy humans for power and domination. Also, Mr. Jordan’s life work also gives us an insight why we are drifting more and more away from free speech, laze-fare government, belief in God, and less freedom in this postmodern period of history. A must read. Experienced as an Audio book.

As fun to hear about Peterson as it is to hear Peterson.

Appreciated the seemingly honest observation of an iconic figure in the fight against evil. Well done.

Amazing

I learned a lot about Jordan Peterson, a man I really respect. Some parts of this book were hard to read, but from the difficult subject matter, not the way it was presented; ultimately, it was worth the effort.

Thank you Dr. Peterson

This review of some of Dr. Petersons efforts to delay creeping socialism makes me want to say thank you. I don't think that the backbone and tenacity needed is available in the US any longer, we aren't that hungry or desperate, yet. The political corruption in the US wont allow for even an island of reasonable thinking and discussion without a screaming child demanding some special imagined priority. I'm old and feel blessed to have lived in a simpler time and pity the future generations. I'm optimistic that the sun will shine and the world will turn. Thank you Dr. Peterson
