About this listen

Stone Barrington is back, in fine form, in the newest thriller from the number one New York Times - best-selling author.

After a series of nonstop adventures, Stone Barrington is eager for some peace and quiet in a rustic British setting. But no sooner does he land in England than he’s beset by an outrageous demand from a beautiful lady, and an offer he can’t refuse.

Unfortunately, Stone quickly learns that his new acquisition comes with some undesired strings attached - namely, a deadly mystery involving the complex relationships of the local gentry, and a relentless adversary who raises the stakes with every encounter. Stone’s restful country vacation is looking like yet another troublesome situation, but with his tireless aplomb - and the help of a few friends - he is more than up to the challenge.

Another winner for Woods and Roberts

Stone Barrington novels are just right. They can each stand alone however are better if read in sequence.Love Stuart Woods way of telling a story and of course Tony Roberts is supreme. Not sure I would own each of these books if narrated by anyone else, he is just that good.

Another adventure with Stone

Stone Barrington finds himself in another adventure and surrounded with women, money and bullets.
Characters we have come to know and love, like Dino, Felicity and Teddy Faye, help him in and out of situations.
Anyone looking for a good series in an international setting that will leave you smiling should start from Stone's first adventure back in the states.

Typical Stone

Mr Woods has some formula and he sticks to it. Sorry to all of the haters out there, that formula works. You know why, every 3 months or so you can depend on getting that new book and you are going to buy it. Keep it up Mr Woods, I can't wait.

A Stone's throw

I enjoyed it as always. Nothing quite like living vicariously through Mr. Barrington. Good listen.
