About this listen

After a divorce from her cheating football player ex, PR whiz Kim Matlock would rather drive a pine tree through her walled-off heart than work at the Seattle Wedding Expo. And the last thing she expects is to be grabbed and kissed breathless by a hot giant of a man looking to fend off a stalker. She doesn't want emotional entanglements, but she can't say no to one scorching night with the sexy stranger.

To her shock, she finds out afterward that a) he's a pro football player, a.k.a. her kryptonite, and b) she's pregnant.

But nothing could have prepared her for his response....

Contains mature themes.

Moving through each person issue.

The narrator could have shown more emotion. Had to stop listening to half-way through the first day. But decided to finish because I liked the author. The story line was good but the narrator was hard to listen to.

Great Story but….

I picked this story because I had just listened to Played by this author and THAT narration was perfection. This audio book was not. Based on the voice selected, I do wish that there was both male and female narrators for this book. Very disappointed. However I loved the characters and the plot. Great story.

Go For It

A solid journey from hole-hearted to whole-hearted. The author didn’t miss a beat. If you’re after a professional
football player hero and strong, professional woman heroine, this delivers all the feels and with plenty of on-page heat. Ably performed by CJ Bloom.

WOW!

I loved Ronin and Kim's story. I was engaged throughout the whole story. Their connection was unimaginable. This was a beautiful book. Love what he called Kim.

Doesn’t go anywhere

Cute story but not counting the epilogue book only covers a few weeks of the beginning of the pregnancy and doesn’t have much else going on plot wise. As a fan of surprise baby stories I was a little bummed that the book was over before she was even showing so it lacked a lot of the hurt/comfort vibes you usually get from this kind of plot.
Most of the plot is just them deciding if they like eachother and wanna date and the pregnancy is sort of tangential.
