About this listen
”Hello, World!” is the first line of text every robot ever prints when first being programmed. Just like that robot entering the world for the first time, we’re here to say “Hello, Scratch!” as we enter a whole new world of programming for children.
Scratch coding is a programming language specifically designed for kids and beginners to get them exploring the possibilities computer programming has to offer.
Scratch is a simple and intuitive programming language that is both easy to learn and perfect for creative projects, and is taught through a series of exercises that will help you create seven simple games in seven days.
Getting started with Scratch is not only a great way to get a taste for programming, but also the perfect stepping stone to get you or your child on the way to more complex languages like Python or Java.
Scratch Coding for Kids and Beginners will teach you:
- The world of creative possibilities that will open up to you when you learn to program
- What Scratch coding is
- The fundamentals of Scratch coding that can then be applied to a range of other languages as you learn and grow
- Seven exercises you can practice that will teach you skills you can transfer to your own projects and ideas
Learning programming languages is not just a great creative outlet, but can also lead down a variety of career paths for your future.

Story
Our future selves are obstinate in repeating the same errors every single time. In this book, I will describe elements in ourselves that contribute to what I call the “stupidity factor” of our future selves. I will present tips and techniques that you can use for taming that incorrigible future self to be less…stupid. Because when you realize your future self is still you, you will most likely behave the same way your present self behaves in the future. That’s an advantage because the future self will never magically change or surprise you with new behaviors. That’s a fact!

Story
Mary Lennox starts her life as an unhappy victim of circumstance. After the loss of her parents, she moves to rural Yorkshire to live with a distant uncle where she resents the wildness of the countryside. At first, she struggles to find a place in this new existence. Although unsure about her surroundings and its occupants, through the gentle guidance of the maid she gradually becomes interested in the story of Mrs Craven, who apparently used to spend her time in a garden at the house, the key to which has vanished.

This book delivers what the title says!
This book is really a beginner coding book. I took coding 101 before and I really like how this book approaches coding for beginners. I think the book is fun and easy to follow, especially for kids and even adults. The audiobook walks you through basic coding like how to create a loop and/or block and manipulate different variables and add conditions to what you want your code to do. Getting an ebook might also be helpful to help you follow along with the narration if you are a visual learner, though this is not necessary.

Great addition to any coding education!!
Coding is very important to learn at a young age if your child is to have a good understanding of it for the future. I believe this book does great at getting the youngsters more confident at coding and creating on the digital plane!! I highly recommend this book to any parent wanting to add some extra fun learning at home with coding. The info is easy to follow and implement and makes it easy to teach the child, even if your not too familiar with coding yourself. A very well organized flow of instruction and hands on learning!! Great for the household whether your student goes to school outside of the home, or is homeschooled!! Thanks to the author for this great book!!!

Awesome Book!
Let's face it, in this generation, programmers are the new superstars. They craft what the internet is today and create some of the largest companies in the world. Scratch coding is an awesome way to let your tech-savvy child run free and leave a mark of their own. Starting them early will surely set them up for an amazing career as a software developer. Scratch is easy to learn and primes their brain for many complex languages to come. Highly recommend.

Don't be intimidated!
I hear "coding" and I immediately get nervous. This book surpassed my expectations and truly was "step-by-step." My kids picked this up right away. Definitely a new summer project for them - fun and learning all in one!

Great for kids - definitely recommend!
Coding isn't the easiest thing for kids to pick up, but this book does a tremendous job of breaking down the basics and creating a foundation for kids to get a heads start and put into gear the skills they learn.
The narration is high quality and highly engaging, so much that adults can stay engaged and tune along as well.
Great book that I would absolutely recommend for anyone with kids!
