About this listen

Sometimes the only way to heal... is to shatter.

Rock star Alec Daniels has it all. Love, fame, money.... But being in the limelight isn't all it's cracked up to be, and after one bad choice comes back to haunt him, he is left picking up the pieces of his carefully constructed life. Now he faces the toughest decision of his life: Deal with his mistake like a man, or dive back into the dark hole of depression, drugs, and denial that have been his comfort for so long.

One wrong move could destroy everything. His girlfriend, his family, and his future.

This is a New Adult Book - blood, violence, cursing, sexual references, and drug use. Not recommended for those under 17.

This is the continuation of the Daniels brother’s story. Now that the both have girlfriends, Alec is still hiding secrets and it is destroying him. It also doesn’t help that they are all on a reality show and every move they make is being filmed. I enjoyed this story, but thought the lead up to the secrets was drawn out a little long. I still enjoyed the story and the ending.

This was a great follow up to Alec and Demetri's story. It filled in some of the missing pieces between both brothers and introduced new members into the story.

Great follow-up story

Shatter (Seaside #3) was a great read by Rachel Van Dyken. Alec Daniels seems to have it all; money, fame, and love. But fame comes at a price. One of his past mistakes comes back to haunt him. He could choose to deal with it like a man, or dive back into the dark hole of depression. I really enjoyed this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

Oh poor sweet Alec!! I was afraid this would happen, he has been the martyr this whole series but I so glad that Nat made him work for it and heal before she gave in. Great story got me just a bit more attached to these characters. Well done!

Great book!

Although I have really enjoyed the series I felt like this book was extra fluff, it really wasn't necessary to the story line other than to introduce Jaymeson (which could have been done in a quicker and simpler way) and it was over the top dramatic, as most of it could have been avoided if Alec had just been honest with Nat and Demetri, or if all the characters wouldn't have played right into the setups when they knew that they were all on a reality show.

The book wasn't badly written and the story itself was good but just very unnecessarily dramatic for my taste. At the same time, I had to remind my self multiple times that the majority of the characters were teenagers just out of high school

I still love the series and would def. recommend it.

The performance by Aaron Landon was done really well, and helped pull the book through the parts that I didn't like as much.

Just when I thought AD2 has it all together and we've found out all their secrets, right? Wrong! More secrets and this one could tear them apart! I really love this series!

Loved it!
