About this listen

Lucas Thorn wasn't born a cheater. All it took was a single moment - say, a certain disastrous incident on the night before his wedding - and boom. Reputation destroyed forever and always. So now he owns it. He has a lady friend for every night of the week (except Sundays - God's day and all), and his rules are simple: No commitments. No exceptions.

But a certain smart-mouthed, strawberry blonde vixen is about to blow that all to hell.

Avery Black has never forgiven Lucas for cheating on her sister. And suddenly being forced to work with him is pretty much a nightmare on steroids. Of course, it does afford her the opportunity to make his life as difficult as possible. But no good revenge scheme comes without payback. Because he didn't become the Lucas Thorn without learning a few things about women.

Now Avery's lust for vengeance has turned into, well, lust. And if Lucas stops cheating, it's definitely not because he's falling in love...

Entertaining

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this audiobook because it's a genuinely fun read and listen. The story - to me - started off a little disturbing until a little later when it's explained away. Lucas and Avery's story is about unrequited love with an element that isn't used that much in romance stories.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Lucas' mother, because she has no filter and is funny af.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Lucas was talking with his mother and they had a conversation regarding her chicken apron. Mr. Cendese did a great job narrating this scene.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could listen to this book in one sitting I would.

Any additional comments?

This is the first book by Ms Van Dyken that I've finished. Wasn't a fan of her other new adult books. With that said, I was a bit reluctant to get Cheater. The only reason why I bought it was because of the narrators. Lucy Rivers is one of my favorites. I'm glad I did take a chance on this book. Her narration made it very easy to identify with the characters. And that is soooo important with audiobooks.

I don't think he was FULLY a cheater, just a hoe

At fist, well I assume I wouldn’t like this book, you know because sometimes the description, makes me wonder but this book had me dying, and in tears, lordy Avery and Lukas are two hilarious people. Especially Lucas. But the woman Narrator, I didn’t like how she talk as Lucas like that voice she uses didn’t fit him at all. The guy narrator fits him, and the way he talks as Lucas mom and other women were hilarious. Also, I enjoyed their (Lucas and Avery) LOVE story, and that Brooke sister (Avery sister) was and still is a B****. Wow, jealous of both sisters, it’s an ashamed, and it seems to me Avery made Lucas happier than the one sister he was going to marry (Kayla). I do dislike cheaters but, I REALLY wanted Avery and Lucas together.

Laughed out loud. For real.

Even though this book is predictable, I really enjoyed it. It had me laughing. The banter between Avery and Lucas is entertaining.

Loved it!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! This book was sooooo funny! I loved this book! Ok so Lucas and Avery has the most least conventional relationship ever! But it is to cute and so funny! I stumbled across Rachel Van Dyken when I found the Seaside series so I tried this one on for size and I love it! I can't wait to sink my teeth into Cheater's Regret! If you love a hysterically funny love story...you have got to read this one! I can't wait to read more by Rachel!

Best Ever

This book is the funniest, hottest book I have ever reader. The title made me delay in listening to it but now that I have...WHAT WAS I WAITING FOR! I loved the Pucked series because it was funny but this book blew it out of the water. I laughed so hard that I couldn't breath. Worth the credit.

The actors make the difference

So great story....... love the actors voices but I hate when the male actors start doing a female's voice. This actor acted like he hated women. All their voices were whiny, high pitched and nasally. So halfway through the book I just had to read it. Still a great plot and cute story

really cute story

This turned out to be a really cute and enjoyable story. Avery was a spitfire and totally rocked the fresh out of college vibe. Thorn was a kid turned player through unfortunate events all the while still holding a flame for Avery.
Spoiler alert!...And contrary to the title, he didn't technically cheat, although not everyone will see it that way.
Lucy Rivers is a phenomenal narrator and pulled off Avery perfectly. This was my first experience with Alexander Cendese and he was fantastic. I loved his female impersonations, especially of Avery.
Good book and great audio. Loved it.

OMG Soooo funny

This book was recommended to me for how funny it was. I have never listened to a book that was so laugh out loud funny. I had people laughing at my hysterical laughing. Not crazy about the voices at times but then again that sometimes made it even funnier. Looking forward to the next book and only hope it's as good as this one....or at least as funny.
