Publisher's summary
How to talk and listen to your children: a practical workbook for busy parents
Handling a newborn is tough. But as any parent knows, what comes after the age of three makes everything before look like a walk in a park.
It seems like your child learned how to talk overnight, and suddenly, you discover a whole new aspect of your parent-child relationship: communication.
Many don’t even realize how crucial that moment is. Not only does your child now understand what you’re saying to them, but they also use words to express themselves.
It sounds simple enough, but communicating with children is actually more complex than you may realize.
It’s not about disciplining your children - it’s about talking and listening in the right way.
In How to Talk so Little Kids Will Listen and Have More in Common than You Think, you will discover:
- A detailed guide on what’s going on inside your children’s heads - find out what they’re feeling but not telling you.
- Proven techniques for getting your children to listen to you so that you never feel ignored or defeated again
- Simple methods child experts use to improve communication with children and get them to express themselves in a calm, controlled way
- Tips on how to handle your own emotions when dealing with children - say good-bye to anger and frustration forever.
- Fun, interactive activities for you and your children that will strengthen your bond and deepen your communication level
- Bulletproof strategies for helping your children develop excellent communication skills, paving the way for successful futures
- And much more...
When raising children, parents have to act intuitively in many aspects. Communication shouldn’t be one of them - it is something far too important to handle “on the go”.
If you want to help your child express themselves in a productive manner and quit the tantrums, then you will want to listen to this audiobook.

Here’s how to make sure your kids know what to do with theirs: If you’re like most parents, one of your primary concerns about your child, aside from their health and safety, is how you can prepare them for adulthood. Qualities associated with emotional intelligence, are a greater predictor of future success than having a high IQ and are very often overlooked. Fortunately, emotional intelligence is something that can be taught and developed, and the ideal time to do it is while your kids are still young.

Story
Many parents dread talking to their kids about money in fear of opening pandora’s box. But firstly, that box is probably already open; you will be surprised at what kids soak up from their friends, what they see on TV and on social media, and what they hear you talking about at home. And secondly, if it isn’t already, it likely will be soon, and this will be out of your control. It may be better if we actually open this box from time to time anyway. Not talking to your kids about money can actually make them think that money is something to fear.

Story
While most parenting programs are designed to coerce kids to change, Parenting Without Power Struggles does something innovative, showing you how to help your children awaken their natural instincts to cooperate, rather than employing threats or bribes, which inevitably fuels their resistance. By staying calm and being the confident "captain of the ship" your child needs, you will learn how to parent from a place of strong, durable connection, and you'll be better able to help your kids navigate the challenging moments of growing up.

Story
Now Say This guides parents through a highly practical three-step approach to effectively communicating with children called ALP. It also discusses the power of words in all of our daily conversations. Each chapter addresses a different aspect of parenting and includes actual scripts and precise language for parents to use to set limits with empathy and to use conversations as opportunities for learning. Language is powerful, and the exact words, tone, and nonverbal communication parents use when trying to move through a sticky moment with their child means everything.

Helpful and Informative!
Most parents are busy these days, and this book has been specially crafted to help. The books give parents convenient tips to help understand and break the communication barriers between most relationships with children and remove the complexity. I appreciate the authors point on parents taking time to know what is going on inside the child, as this will help know how best to understand the child; the book gave tips also which I like on how to allows kids to express themselves and communicate better which most and especially busy parents will find helpful.

IT'S QUIET WHATS HAPPENING!
What a listen! Every parent needs all the help they can get, especially when we are around our kids 24 hours a day because of this pandemic! As a father of three, I have been reading as much as I can on kid's literature because if I don't find a way for my kids to listen, I will lose all my hair! Lol. Shhhh...Listen has some good practical tips and a different view of the approach to help you understand and get your kids to listen a little. LOL!

Great tips that I needed
I don't have anymore 3 to 8 years old but I do have a niece this age and was a great listen. Sienna Neei put together great information to help with this day and age for kids. It has been a while so when I'm around my niece I can communicate and having her respond better around me.

Very helpful!
I have 4 kids and this is very helpful information for me. I like the communications methods and strategies to make the kids listen as communication is the most important and foundation to build relationships between kids and parents later on. I learned making the talk as a ritual thing, and talk with them not at them which sometimes I forgot to do. Recommend for parents to listen to this book! It has examples and strategies for you.
