In Eyes of Prey, Bekker, an insane pathologist who experiments with his patients’ pain thresholds, is finally brought down by an unrelenting Lucas Davenport, who brutally maims the doctor’s beautiful face but leaves him alive. “You should have killed me,” were Bekker’s parting and prophetic words.
In this sequel to Eyes of Prey, Bekker endures the indignities and horrors of imprisonment, taking comfort in the fact that it is only a matter of time before he will make Lucas Davenport pay.

What made the experience of listening to Silent Prey the most enjoyable?
The pace and depth of the story. What was one of the most memorable moments of Silent Prey?
When Lucas finally figured out how Becker was able to get close to his victims.Which character – as performed by Richard Ferrone – was your favorite?
Michael Becker, Richard Ferrone made it seem like Becker was actually standing in front of me. I could feel the Insaneness in his voice. If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Beauty and the Beast inside.Any additional comments?
If a movie is made, don't cast Mark Harmon as Lucas. It needs to be someone more imposing to capture the essence of Lucas Davenport.Lucas vs Becker Pt.2

What made the experience of listening to Silent Prey the most enjoyable?
I enjoy reading series and this novel, Silent Prey, is the fourth book in this series. What was one of the most memorable moments of Silent Prey?
The most memorable moment of Silent Prey was knowing what character's were involved in the serial murders of chosen citizens of New York.Have you listened to any of Richard Ferrone’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I am very pleased with listening to Richard Ferrone's narration. I've listened to him throughout the Lucas Davenport series. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, because I always want to know how Lucas Davenport creates havoc while solving murders with the fellow member's of the police precinct they belong to.Any additional comments?
Sending Lucas to New York to be a part of their precinct was quite creative. I could well understand that they may think twice before calling him to help with another murder. I hope he is able to return to his old job in the next book. The guy is driving himself nuts as well as some of his friend's. Having a lot of money isn't the answer to enjoying life.Disguises

If you could sum up Silent Prey in three words, what would they be?
Burtal, exciting, entertainingWho was your favorite character and why?
Lucas Davenport, of course.Have you listened to any of Richard Ferrone’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Richard Ferrone is, to me, the voice of Lucas Davenport. I've listened to his Prey performances plus Condominium. Great actor! Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The eyelashes - really creeped me out.Any additional comments?
Probably one of the best Prey novels.LUCAS DAVENPORT DOES NEW YORK

Would you listen to Silent Prey again? Why?
Yes, I would enjoy listening and/or reading Silent Prey again in the future. This is the second time I have read/listened to the Lucas Davenport series. Silent Prey is one of the best early books in the series, Sandford is just getting his stride with this book. Character development and involvement in this story is well defined and used to keep the reader/listener interested from beginning to end even if you didn't know this was a follow up book. What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Ferrone brings a smooth listening experience to this book and the others he has narrated. He is able to allow the listener just to sit back and listen to the story and thus the story develops independently of struggling to keep up with who is who and who is talking all the time. This is not true of all narrators and Ferrone is one of my favorites.Any additional comments?
If you enjoy a book thriller with some background story involvement then you will enjoy any of the Lucas Davenport series, and if you new to listening to books then you can't go wrong listening to Richard Ferrone as one of your first narrators.Bekker's Back
