About this listen

A spell revealed I was marked by the raven. Now what?

Well, I already know day drinking isn’t the answer. And Mephisto, with his increasing interest in me and my magic, isn’t either. But what is?

The secrets behind the mark keep unfolding, revealing that I’m more dangerous than anyone ever suspected and that I’m the only person preventing the demise of several powerful and dangerous magical beings. Some people want me as an ally and others simply want me dead - and I have no idea who’s on my side.

My plan to discover who my allies are and stay away from Mephisto goes to hell when my best friend performs an archaic and illegal spell that unleashes a fae with animancer magic.

I tend to play fast and loose with a lot of rules. In fact, most of them I simply ignore. But there are some that should never be broken, and the one at the top of that list? Don’t ever put the shifters in danger.

My best friend just broke that cardinal rule.

Whether friend or foe, I need Mephisto’s help to recapture the fae, and make sure the shifters don’t retaliate.

I’ll do anything to save my friend - even make a deal with the devil.

This series just keeps getting better

Erin’s need for magic leads to questionable choices not only by her but her friends and the repercussions have far reaching effects. Causing her to help in a situation that may just get her killed trying to right a wrong. Two men who seem to need Erin for different reasons and want her add emotional drama she doesn’t need because she know neither can truly be trusted right? Now that certain people know the truth about Erin how will that impact those around her and the supernatural community and will she live to find out? We have to wait for the next book to see.

I need book three now! So good and hats off to Khristine Hvam for her superb narration, I get lost in her voice and the way she evokes emotion and depth into each character.

Things are getting interesting....

The second book in this series has us following along with Erin as she is beginning to discover that things are not what they seem. For starters, her parents are not her parents. That is kind of a big thing. Without going into spoilers, I'm not going to say what other HUGE things she discovers, but I will say that things are getting interesting.

Yes, we still have Mephisto. Is he good or not so good? Just when I think I can trust him....darn it, he does something to make me doubt him.

What about Asher? I think I'm more pre-disposed to like him because he is a charming and friendly guy. But...he's a shifter and even more importantly, he is an Alpha. So...no. I do not know who to trust and guess what? Erin has no clue either.

Things are getting interesting.

Seriously....I can't wait to find out what is going to happen next :)

A great continuation

For the record..... i did receive this audiobook free from the author for review purposes. This is a great continuation of the series. I am not great at describing without spoilers so i will say that it is entertaining and keeps you wanting more. The narrator is once again spot on with her portrayal.

Erin is my new favorite!

She takes on all of the villains,  shifters, socialites, and the people from the veil. I am enjoying the love triangle! I haven't quite decided who I am rooting for yet. Erin continues to evolve.  I am interested to learn more about her and where she comes from.  I can't wait for the next book!

Cheated by Cliffhanger Ending

The story was good -- maybe even better than the first book -- but the sort of cliffhanger ending is not cool. I get that this is a series, and I do plan to continue it, but it was still annoying.

I considered only giving the overall rating 3 stars; the only reason I didn't is because it wasn't technically a complete cliffhanger, in that the story within this book was, in fact, concluded. She just left off on a very big teaser. Thank God I didn't read this when it first came out, because then I would be really irritated, having to wait for the next book to be released.

I am loving this series!!

I will be honest and say it took me several chapters to get the feel of the characters but once I did, it was awesome! Silverfall continues a great series and I can’t wait until book 3!!!

Keeps getting better

This story and characters just keep getting better. I’m hooked. I need the next installment ASAP. So many secrets, it’s driving me crazy in the best ways. The narrator nailed it again. Love her. And all those beautiful men. One of them has to be good enough for my girl Erin.

Book

Why didn't she just take high definition pictures of each page of the book? I doubt a super old book is spelled to prevent pictures from being taken. It would not matter how long she could keep the book.
