Publisher's summary

Being eaten by squirrels was not part of my plan. The apocalypse never came. Not in lightning and thunder and volcanic eruptions.

The zombie takeover didn’t happen in massive hordes within a few days or weeks as depicted on TV. It came insidiously, like a thief who has planned well for the burglary of a lifetime. They weren’t shuffling, shambling zombies with no brains.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.

It all started one morning before work. Me getting my teen to do his part, my teen pretending to argue, you know, a normal day. A day like any other day, or so I thought...

slow fever

And. this is another reason I won't go camping!! This is unique and different take on zombies, and I found it mesmerizing! Amidst death and destruction love grows! aaww! Grizzley action packed story. #1 lesson- check coworkers out carefully before trusting. #2 Don't eat 2 hours before reading this. The duet narration was great and added to the creep factor. Awesome job Randi, a man of many voices and talents!!

Zombie apocalypse!

I asked to receive this free Audible review book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. I really am not that into zombies but I love listening to Randi Johnson. I did find this book very suspenseful and constantly wondering what horrible thing was going to happen next. I even had to get the tissues out on 2 separate occasions. The was a unique solution to this problem. Who would have guessed that there would be hot sensual love going on with zombies roaming around?! The narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life and portraying their emotions. Randi can give the listener a deep sexy voice.

Different Kind of Story

This story is definitely not what I expected. Zombies and romance? What a weird, creepy, hot twist. I wish the story was longer! It was nice listening to a different type of story.
Randi Johnson did awesome narrating! The caveman sexy scene was hot!

Action-Packed Suspense

I enjoyed listening to this zombie story (not my usual genre) and was kept on the edge of my seat—anxious to know what would happen next. There are a lot of sad moments in this excellent story along with a nice romantic twist. The story is somewhat alarming, as in the science-fiction world, it would be so easy to launch germ warfare in this way. Narrators Randi Johnson and Desiree Devine did an excellent job in narrating this disturbing story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

intense action packed

Sebastian, Karla, Jack and Rachel are going to mountains for a nice camping vacation or so they thought. Whatever strange has been happening in town, has been also in the woods, dead animals, people with gray faces. Zombie attack! How did it start, is there a cure?
This book is action packed and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Theres descriptive scenes of zombies attacking, Its not for the squeamish.
The sex scenes between Karla and Sebastian are steamy, erotic, and sensual.
The narrators, Randi Johnson and Desiree Devine excellent in interpreting the story. voicing the characters and bringing it to life. I was gifted the audio version and offered my honest review.

Scary

Not my usual genre, but because I am a fan of Mr. Johnson’s voice, I thought I give it a try. My first listen from Ms. Divine and she made a good presentation of the characters.
If you like zombie survival stories, this one is for you. An interesting concept and there are some thought provoking elements. Was this a military attack or a derailed experiment? Glad there is a HFN ending for Seb and his group. One thing that threw me off at times was the sudden jump from first person to third person POV. An enjoyable listen otherwise.
