While this book is great for an introductory undergraduate course in psychology or a similar fields, it is too vague and general in my opinion. I am a pediatric psychologist and did not find useful content in the text and would not readily recommend this to parents. The content is not wrong but just elementary and not detailed making this text just too vague to be useful or practical.
