Publisher's summary

Eddie is arrogant, quite vain, and slick at the mouth - or simply confident, discerning, and unafraid to speak his mind, if you ask him. Astrid is annoyingly perky, unpolished, and a little delusional about Eddie’s attraction to her - or, according to her, energetic, authentic, and absolutely spot-on about the driving factor of a certain local tattoo artist’s “hatred” of her.

Undeniable attraction.

They may think they’re opposite but have more in common than they think. For both of them, finding a connection that is deeper than surface-level is rare. Someone they can learn from, grow with, someone who can show them things they haven’t seen before and feel things they’ve never felt, with anyone. No labels, no boxes. Just...maybe...something like love.

hmmmmmmmmm!! Thought provoking

So, this here book out of the entire series actually provoked me to look at myself and my views of a bi-sexual man. Not sure still how I feel about that, but you did a great job of touching base from how his parents felt, dealt with and still loved him. I'm such a fan of Eddies mom, hopefully she'll have a reoccurring role as the series goes on. It was nice to see his friends be honest about how it wasn't a life for them, but didn't see him as less than one of the fellas; especially in the black community. You really captured and highlighted some major points and issues.

I'm loving, loving the series.... I was shocked that while Pixie was in town she didn't see or speak to dancing ass Donnie sister, kinda sad they didn't work out! Hopefully their story will be told.

So, now that I've heard all 6 books in less than 2 weeks; I'll have to find a way to give you time to release the next batch.... HURRY UP PLEASE ;-)

Tattoos And Yoga Love!!!

I didn't think I would like Eddie and Astrid's story but, it was very enjoyable. I love me some Eddie with his arrogant self. He and Astrid were perfect for each other. Both of them are unapologetic about who they are and who they like. Neither of them were here for the BS and anyone could get it if they tried it. I had no idea Eddie and Astrid were bisexual. I almost fell out of my bed during that opening scene with him and ole girl at Urban Grind. But, I love Eddie so much, I would've read this book if CCJ had given him a male love interest. We find out Aurielle, AKA Pixie, is Astrid's sister. Pretty sure that never came up in books four or five. I was really perturb at how CCJ turned Donnie into such in a-hole. I loved me some Dancin' Azz Donnie and, now, I have to give him the side eye for treating Aurielle so bad. And, Eddie's mama was a hoot! I mean she was no Ms. Anita but, Ms. Harriet was still funny as hell. Something Like Love was the perfecting ending to the Serendipitous Love series and I'm so sad it's over. CCJ really outdid herself. I enjoyed ever single book.

Fantastic Book!

I have read most of your audible books... and this is by far my favorite. It was so real and honest. The relationship between to Queer people was hit spot on... awesome job! It’s a definite must read!

Best Out Of The Series!

I love these characters so much! This was a really good story. The narration was too fast (per usual); however, when I remember to slow them down it works. Great job!

My Favorite of the Series

I loved the uniqueness of this one..it opens the mind to sexual identity, vulnerability and the willingness of acceptance from others.

Narration Was Good. Astrid & Eddie Were Unique

I had been waiting for Eddie's book. I had not realized from the previous books that he was bi, but it was a nice difference that both Eddie & Astrid were bi. The way it was discussed about how each person was both received and perceived by their community was refreshing. Getting to see how Eddie's family members reacted vs his boys vs Astrid's acceptance provided some food for thought.

Eddie and Astrid's relationship was interesting. They vibed, but I thought the connection was very a surface one. By the time they did the communication thing and resolved their issues, the book was over. It felt to me like I didn't get to experience them being fully together.

I don't know why that whole situation with Astrid's sister was included. I didn't think it added much to the book. Once again, the narration was good. I liked the other characters in the book. I wish there could have been an epilogue about Eddie and Astrid relationship.

Loved it

Loved the entire series. Loved the uniqueness of this love story. I wish we could’ve gotten a conclusion to the overall idea of the series. But I loved it. Thank you.

loved the series, but. .

This being the last book of this series felt rushed. I wanted more, but loved hearing the real side of Eddie.
