About this listen

Sometimes in life, you feel like the world is out to get you. Nothing ever seems to work out the way you want it to, and everything just goes wrong all at the same time. But you have to bear up under the weight of life and just keep swinging. It can't stay bad forever, right?

That is what Casey Sullivan believed when he spent his entire young life in an orphanage, fighting for scraps and doing his best to not get shanked by the youth gangs there. When he had the opportunity to make a difference, he seized it with both hands and did everything in his power to pass the police academy.

He succeeded, and that's what killed him in the end.

But things couldn't be that easy. Because Casey's story doesn't end there. Something was pulling the strings the entire time behind the scenes. And when the puppet refused to dance to his tune anymore, the puppeteer tried to throw him away.

And it is at that place—lost between worlds and powerless—where he was found, and where Casey was given the opportunity to do the one thing that he desperately wanted.

Get revenge against the creature that toyed with his life, and ruined his death.

Steelforged Legacy is a progression fantasy, men's romance, western cultivation story that takes heavy inspiration from classic cultivation and combines it with an alternate take on Norse mythology. Even the gods can't always see the future right, and the world it is set in takes advantage of the fact that sometimes, even the Fates can make mistakes.

This was a fantastic start to a new series. I'm looking forward to book two for voice actors we're phenomenal. If you like these types of books, I would recommend picking it up.

Fantastic!!

I don’t know who’s idea it was to give the MC that horrid accent but it made the story unbearable to me.

That horrid jersey/Long Island accent

I love this author! Their stories have such great details. Since this is a progression fantasy, anyone that has red, this type of book will feel right at home. This author does do a great job of the pace that the MC progresses was great about the story as it has it all a wrong MC, a thirst for justice and even a splash of romance. I’m really looking forward to see where he develops the MC in the next book.

Tress nails it

Big fan of author. Slow building but still very entertaining to watch the MC adjust and adapt to his new world. Can’t wait for the next one.

Different twist of isekai

I've not read a cultivation story dealing with norse mythology before. the world is unique with deep lore and interesting characters. the narrator does a great job of differentiating voices to keep characters seperate while listening.

A unique twist on a cultivation story

I've read and listened to another of books in this style. The overall story concept unique but the pace was slow and forgettable. Only at the end did it pickup. The fight scenes are written well there just was not enough of them.

ok

I can’t return this so I’ll leave a review to help others avoid my mistake. Without any spoilers. Let me just say this is as boring as it gets. This read as an informative guide to the world the MC is in, while getting to know his sword…. Like to hear what someone does to pass the day without any action, this is your kind of book.
