About this listen

A battle-hardened warrior, a girl with dragon’s blood in her veins, and a young man rising from obscurity. Can they give hope to a darkened world?

For decades, Xavion has dedicated his sword in service to the dragon prophet. His squad of five select warriors have been the bane of the unholy wizards who have devoured much of the civilized world. But the enemy's power is growing, threatening to overwhelm the diminished armies of the dragon.

When Xavion sets out with a few select warriors for the temple of Al'un Dai, he believes that he can bring the bloody war to a swift end by assassinating the chief wizard. The wizard keeps his mistress in the temple, a witch who is said to be his one great weakness. But what Xavion finds is something far worse.

Xavion has always held those closest to himself in the close faith, and that has been his strength. But a clever deceit will be revealed, and Xavion must confront that deceit...or fall victim to it himself.

The war has just begun, and as Xavion gathers new allies, he finds them in the unlikeliest of times.

Good story needs a new narrator

I really enjoyed the story line but the narrator was very monotone and slow. I think a professional narrator would make this story a 5⭐️ book

the story doesn't always make sense

I wrote a previous review about how the person narrating, doesn't know how to pronounce the word 'scythe' pronouncing it like 'sith' from star wars but also over enunciates other words trying to sound fancy. but after finally finishing it and that was a struggle. the story doesn't make sense at points, why have a person protecting someone but not actually able to prevent certain things from happening until almost too late like he wasn't watching from an invisible perspective, when that's all he is there for. I won't give too many details but that was just sloppy writing but I will let others experience this odd telling of what could have been an epic story if told correctly in a better worded way and with a more experienced narrator.
