Delightful

When I began looking at this selection, there was only one review posted, and it was negative. Then I looked through some kindle reviews and decided to go ahead and purchase Talk of the Town. I found it to be a light, delightfully entertaining story. Glad I ignored the negative review that called it boring. Since that reviewer said it was purchased to be a relaxing, bedtime sleep-aid, I assume the reviewer, drifting off to sleep, didn't really listen.

Enjoyable listen

This was a light, easy, well woven story. Took me a while to engage with the narrator’s Texas “accents”, ( and I’m born and raised in Texas). I will likely read more from this author and this series.

Another Hallmark template-like story

I'm quite weary of e repetitive template of books and movies. Why a good writer like Lisa Wingate would want to participate in that is baffling. It doesn’t challenge the mind or inspire. As these types of books/movies go, it’s a pretty good story. But they are by nature rather shallow.

The narration was excellent, however, I still can’t figure out if it was one or two people doing the narration. A couple of the characters' voices were a bit odd, but how many voices can a person do well? The acting was good, particularly the passion put into some of the parts where the character was upset. This narrator didn’t hold back.
