About this listen

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn’s second book in the Getting Lucky series brings heart, humor, and heat back to Port Snow.

There are two little words every small-town man dreads:

She’s back.

Harper Sanders, the girl who was supposed to be my forever, has returned to Port Snow, Maine, for good - and she’s bringing back memories of our shared past.

We once had a bright future together, but when tragedy struck, I threw it all away and pushed her out of my life. People in our small town think I’m cursed, but I know better. I did it all to myself.

And now she’s creating a life of her own in the place where we first fell in love. I can’t fight my feelings for her - or the strong attraction that keeps pulling us together. But after all this time, can she forgive the past and fall in love with me all over again?

Everyone hopes to find that forever girl…I just hope I haven’t lost mine for good.

Couldn’t get enough!

OMG I was dying laughing! I absolutely love Rogan and Harper!
Harper returns to her home town, Port Snow, to be with her Dad and to get away from her ex.
Rogan can’t get over Harper being back with the struggle of what he did to her in the past. The past is never left behind where most would like, sometimes the past needs to push you into the direction that fate had set.
I loved the present day and flash backs to their younger years. It is such a nice change than the author just doing the usual recap. I completely fell in love with these two.
There was tons of laughter, little angst, and so much entertainment. I really didn’t want this to end.

Adorable but so annoying

An adorable story I love this series. It this makes narrator was so terrible. It was more than distracting it was horrendous.

Great story, poor narrator

I love the story but cannot get passed the fact that Rogan sounds like the character of David Puddy from Seinfeld. I’m fact all of his character voices are more annoying and distracting from the story.

4 star story but I didnt like the male narrator

Honestly, i would’ve finished this audiobook sooner if I didnt hate this narrator. The male narrator made me cringe, couldnt stand him.

Narration almost killed it in the beginning....

The first few chapters almost killed it for me because of Briggs voice. Sounded cartoonish to me like I may have actually heard that voice on a cartoon. The story was sweet, heartbreaking and triumphant. Got muddled a bit in the beginning of when she came back to town for me though. I think we could have skipped right over him being a jerk and mean when she came back. I don’t think it serves a big purpose except drawing out the story. Overall i loved them together. I loved the family units and the parts they played too.

Good

This was good but not great for me purely because of personal preferences. In That Forever Girl, Harper moves back to Port Snow, Maine seven years later giving these two a second chance at love.

What I didn't like about it was that a big portion of the book is Rogan making Harper's return uncomfortable for her and ending up having these two behaving a bit immaturely towards each other.

I would have love to have seen Rogan realizing his shot at fixing what happened to them years before instead of trying to push Harper away. He is obviously still in love with her and I just prefer a man to go after what he wants.

What I did love about this is what really drew me in with the first book. I love the small town setting of Port Snow, Maine where everyone butts into everybody else's business. I also love all the banter and interactions with the Rogan and his brothers and sister. Their text messages were hilarious.

Despite this one just being ok for me, I really enjoyed the narrators William LeRoy and Reese Covington. They made this book an easy listen. I am looking forward to the next brother's story

LOVE THIS AUDIO BOOK SO MUCH!!!

I thought I just loved the book when I first read it. BUT WAIT... I LOVE THE AUDIO BOOK MORE!!!!

Rogan and Harper were high school sweethearts. They were so in love. They were so determined to get to the same college to continue their journey, and they could always be together. It was Rogan's dream to become a professional football player. Unfortunately, an accident took away Rogan's dream in just one moment, which turned him into a self-destructive person who eventually pushed Harper away. Switched to the present day, Harper is back in Port Snow, and it is inevitable for her to run into Rogan when they are now living in this small town. She is given an opportunity to work for a famous movie company as a location scout to find all the best locations for filming. But you know, It's a small town. She, inevitably, again, has to meet with Rogan and even work with him. All the memories flush back, and as time goes by, they remember why they never stop loving each other, even in the darkest days.

I really appreciate the narrators' efforts in portraying Rogan and Harper in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY! Their voice and tone perfectly illustrate the story, and I feel like I am actually experiencing Rogan's and Harper's journeys throughout their lives. The narrators are able to express the heartbreaking AND heartfelt moments of the book, and that's five stars for me. They certainly did an excellent performance!

Audio in one day - Its that good

Yes, this slow burn, funny and heartbreaking story is one that is hard to put down. Rogans recovery, a curse and healing and Harper's broken heart and discovering herself brings her back to Port Snow several years later to pick up her pieces from a caustic relationship only to be faced with the one and only man who shattered her heart and dreams who never stopped loving her. Faced with the truth of his true feelings he is determined to win Harper back, and she discovers his recovery pushed him to aquire the places that meant everything to her just so he could keep their memories alive as a Penance for hurting the only girl he's ever loved, and solving the mystery to their Manor. #myforevergirl
