Publisher's summary

Antiquities of the Jews, otherwise known as Judean Antiquities, is a twenty-volume historiographical work composed by the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus in the thirteenth year of the reign of Roman emperor Flavius Domitian which was around AD 93 or 94. Antiquities of the Jews contains an account of history of the Jewish people, written in Greek for Josephus' gentile patrons. In the first ten volumes, Josephus follows the events of the historical books of the Hebrew Bible beginning with the creation of Adam and Eve. The second ten volumes continue the history of the Jewish people beyond the biblical text and up to the Jewish War.

Study book

Altho I listened to the book straight thru, I do not recommend doing it. This book should be treated as a history school book, whereas whatever lesson you are studying at any particular time, you would go to that section within this book to learn what it has to add to your study. I.e. I'd you are studying Cleopatra history, you would go to the Cleopatra section of this book to listen and take notes, then go back to your studies.

The Narrator sounds much like a robot. So, so hard to listen too for very long.
