About this listen

The best way to become a confident, effective public speaker, according to the authors of this landmark book, is simply to do it. Practice, practice, practice. And while you're at it, assume the positive. Have something to say. Forget the self. Cast out fear. Be absorbed by your subject. And most importantly, expect success. "If you believe you will fail," they write, "there is hope for you. You will."

Dale Carnegie, a pioneer in public speaking and personality development, gained fame by teaching others how to become successful. His book How to Win Friends and Influence People (1936) has sold more than 10 million copies. He also founded the Dale Carnegie Institute for Effective Speaking and Human Relations, with branches all over the world.

Long but very informative. Jason McCoy is a great reader and he added a time frame via his voice to the whole audio.

Something to listen to when time allows

Jason speaks too quickly. The content is not delivered smoothly and the speaker can be hard to follow.

Great book bad speaker

Great book, and if you don't read often, it will take a few reads.

Difficult to grasp for beginners/non-readers

The book is great, the performance was not bad except words were mispronounced distractingly often.

Great book, speaker could improve.

Well worth your time. Narration had a few mispronounced words but I enjoyed the laughs. Would recommend to anyone in the public speaking game

Very Good content but unfortunately not really bad narrator, I don’t recommend it. I will read the book

I got a lot of good tips out of this book. I recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their speaking - not only in a public setting, but also in a business environment with peers and managers.

Excellent

The speaker’s tone did not change and he ignored all punctuation. Also spoke to fast.

Worst narration ever

So odd that a book about public speaking and how to articulate correctly has this narrator. I'm not even sure if it's a real person. He sounds like a monotone computer and speaks in choppy sentences pausing In the middle speaking almost like a cave man and not even pronouncing things correctly. I know this is a really good book but this Painful to listen too.

Is this a joke? Worst narrator ever
