About this listen

The Cygnus Realm has found peace.

Now, spreading among the new worlds of the Unseen gates, Dash and his people are building new lives, free of war and destruction. Until one of the former Unseen planets shifts in orbit - a small thing, but worth looking into. Close to this erratic world, something incredible opens, revealing a connection to stars so distant that they have no name on the Cygnus charts.

The Black Gate pulses in and out of existence, and when a massive pair of alien warheads comes through and destroys an entire orbital facility, Dash is left with no choice but to pick up the mantle of Messenger and fight once more. He must go through the gate, find out who is responsible, and eliminate the threat at any cost.

But this is beyond anything he and his people have faced before...and it will take everything they have to stand against it.

New Beginning, same character core but...

The Cygnus realm is back, Dash and his cohorts do what we expect. No huge character changes, which is great. No major focus changes or political injection, great, unlike other authors like Andy Weir and others, this is one author who didn't feel the need to change their core audience or message. (Sorry, maybe;) This is what we want, no moral high ground for it's character base, no crazy changes, just SOLID character development, SOLID story and a very entertaining anecdote. I very glad to see more in the pipeline. I'm actually holding a credit back awaiting the new preorder to open up. Thank you for a great story, relatable characters and no bs.

Love this series!

Thank you for a great series! When I wrote my review of book 10, I thought it was the end of the series, I have never been more happy to be wrong LOL! Great characters, giant Mech’s, snarky AI’s and Jeffrey Kafer! What more could you ask for? Thank you for another great book! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

What author wrote this?

Seems like the two authors forgot how signus tech works, more over, the author seems to forget how military learns from previous failures. To me there is a disconnect with the two authors. Ruined the story. But I got over it. Who ever is the author that messed up, your a moron, stop writing. I've read over 203 sci books, some with dual or more authors, this is the first fail. What happened to all the tech used? Did they suddenly forget? They are not resource limited!

Great

Loved it and the narrator was a very good story teller and I felt like I was part of the story.

Another Great Story In The Series

When I first started listening to The Messenger series, I had expected 10 books - a nice tidy end to the story. However, as I proceeded through the series I did see that additional books had been added to the series. As I completed Book 10 (the original end to the series?), I felt that there was a great deal more that could have been explained or written about in depth. But it was just the way it was. BUT, Book 10 provided the opportunity to expand the series - which the authors did - and I am not disappointed.

Book 11 is the next logical step in the series. Things happen, the Realm responds, there's a bunch of unexplained events, weapons, and so on - but it's a new story, though it provides for answers to questions we might have had at the end of Book 10. I like the new characters, I like the tie-in to the existing characters, the plot is good, the character development continues as usual - it's yet another good book in the series. If you enjoyed the first 10, you will definitely enjoy this one!!!
