About this listen

Four brothers. Two missions. One explosive story. Jennifer Lynn Barnes returns to the world of her #1 bestselling, TikTok sensation Inheritance Games trilogy, and the stakes have never been higher.

Grayson Hawthorne was raised as the heir apparent to his billionaire grandfather, taught from the cradle to put family first. Now the great Tobias Hawthorne is dead and his family disinherited, but some lessons linger. When Grayson’s half-sisters find themselves in trouble, he swoops in to do what he does best: take care of the problem—efficiently, effectively, mercilessly. And without getting bogged down in emotional entanglements.

Jameson Hawthorne is a risk-taker, a sensation-seeker, a player of games. When his mysterious father appears and asks for a favor, Jameson can’t resist the challenge. Now he must infiltrate London’s most exclusive underground gambling club, which caters to the rich, the powerful, and the aristocratic, and win an impossible game of greatest stakes. Luckily, Jameson Hawthorne lives for impossible.

Drawn into twisted games on opposite sides of the globe, Grayson and Jameson—with the help of their brothers and the girl who inherited their grandfather’s fortune—must dig deep to decide who they want to be and what each of them will sacrifice to win.

While you wait for The Brothers Hawthorne to come out, try Jennifer Lynn Barnes’s thrilling mystery series, The Naturals.

Was surprised how much I enjoyed!

When I first started listening to it I had a hard time because of the narrator. The voice used for Avery is horrible! But I started to get used to it as the book went on you kind of have to after listening to 12 hours of it.

Overall, I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. I feel like the clues were very well thought out, and there were twists and turns along the way. I do have to be a little bit. Disappointing there wasn’t as much drama as the previous books. I do think it is a must read if you want to get into more of the information about Jamison and Grayson‘s fathers plus their additional family. In addition, I would just like to say that this book was obviously made because the three previous books were very popular, but this one did not disappoint. Though I don’t think it is necessary to read this book if you enjoyed the ending to the last one.

Love all these books!

I hope there are more because they’re just amazing! I wasn’t as big of a fan of this narrator as opposed to the other from the other 3 books but it didn’t ruin the story for me.

The Games Are Always Fun!

Hooked!! I love these books! Once again, Jennifer Lynn Barnes does not disappoint! I should have reread The Final Gambit before reading because I have a few lingering questions, but I'll do it now!! I love the open ending because I hope that means that another game is coming! 🤞

Keep listening!

The third book ended so well I didn’t know if I wanted to keep listening, but this one was very well done. I loved the games and challenges presented to the brothers, loved the story. I can’t wait for the next one to come out!

it was a departure from the others in the beat way

it was interesting to get the perspective of a different character. the author took us for another amazing adventure in a rich world that fit in with the other perfectly.

The intrigue!

I thought for sure there wasn’t a way for this book to be as intriguing as the others but I was wrong! Can’t wait see what happens next!

AND SCENE! FANTASTIC!

At first I thought this book was a prequel and when I saw the original narrator of these books was gone…I also thought this was going to suck, but I’m glad that I was wrong about that!

This was another awesome entry into the series!

Jay Ben Markson hit it out of the park!
Jennifer Lynn Barnes is becoming one of my favorite writers and this book solidified it.

Hearing the story from the perspective of Grayson and Jameson was refreshing and you really get to understand where their insecurities and trauma comes from.

Great read and I can’t wait for the next one because there are more secrets to be unearthed!!!

Nice perspective from the brothers

I liked this version from the Hawthorne brothers perspective. I also liked this audio version voice better than the female version for the majority of the series.

Very good, but the weakest of the series.

The plot was entertaining but less connected to prior books. The previous tension had already been resolved, so this book creates a different story then the initial. Another thing to note is this addition is not focussed on Avery, and even though she is still mentioned it is different then the first books. It's in 3rd person switching between Jameson and Grayson. I personally feel this creates more disconnect; however, I do recommend this book to any Inheritance Games fan, and I was very entertained while reading it.
