Refreshing

Loved the characters and the English setting. I look forward to book 7. I’d really like to read another Sebastian Clifford book. Perhaps that’s in the making.

Gotta love three

The characters’ personalities are really beginning to come out.

I’m liking the series. It’s not great-but it’s good.

Lethal Secret

Well, back in business! Book 4 was a success, way better than Death Track, better story, better plot and I love George & Whitney’s back & forth, they work well together! Clare spot on as usual with the narration. On to the next!

Good Easy Listening

I enjoy the predictable plot lines and getting to know the characters. Although the main characters are rather more caricatures of their "types" who remain static and uninfluenced by their life experiences. That was a bit frustrating to me. I really wanted them to grow and make different choices at some points.

Still, I've enjoyed the stories and found them easy to listen along to as I worked at my desk.

Good plots, awkwardly written.

The stories are well conceived. But the formulaic and awkward dialogue and the one-dimensional characters let them down. For example, the un-natural use of 'as' in nearly every sentence: 'I called around as I was passing' or 'I went downstairs as I wanted to see X'. Who speaks like that?
