About this listen
The creator of the popular cleaning website Clean Mama and author of Clean Mama’s Guide to a Healthy Home shows you how to establish systems and rituals to transform your home into a clean, organized, and comfortable space for you and your family.
We all want our homes to be cozy and comfortable spaces where we can leave the challenges of the outside world behind and connect with our families. But too often the mess and disorder only add stress.
For years, Becky Rapinchuk has taught people how to simplify and improve cleaning routines, and now she reveals a game-changing method to help us find joy and make our chores effortless. By pairing up systems - how we get things done so that they become automatic - with rituals - tasks that bring calm and happiness - we can feel more at peace in our homes.
Walking listeners through each room of the house, Rapinchuk shows how to put new systems and rituals in place that will make the whole home operate more efficiently. Featuring decision trees, checklists, and space to reflect and record progress, Clean Mama’s Guide to a Peaceful Home makes homekeeping a breeze, allowing us to slow down and focus on the things that really matter.
Supplemental enhancement PDF accompanies the audiobook.

The person who pushes your buttons is likely someone who matters to you - a spouse, a parent, a boss, a fellow church member. Almost always this difficult person is connected to you by blood, love, faith, or money, so you can't just end the relationship without causing pain and upheaval in your life. Our friends and today's culture will often advise us to abandon such relationships quickly - to end this unpleasant chapter and get on with our lives. Psychologist and author Dr. John Townsend disagrees.

Dr. Michael Gershon has devoted his career to understanding the human bowel (the stomach, esophagus, small intestine, and colon). His 30 years of research have led to an extraordinary rediscovery: Nerve cells in the gut that act as a brain. This "second brain" can control our gut all by itself. Our two brains - the one in our head and the one in our bowel - must cooperate.

We taught people that anxiety is dangerous and damaging, and that the solution to its pain is to eradicate it like we do any disease—prevent it, avoid it, and stamp it out at all costs. Yet cutting-edge therapies, hundreds of self-help books, and a panoply of medications have failed to keep debilitating anxiety at bay. A third of us will struggle with anxiety disorders in our lifetime and rates in children and adults continue to skyrocket.

Luckily, this book was the first suggestion. I drive overnight, so once I start listening to the book, I set 6 to sleep from noon to 6 pm and start cleaning the mission and listen to rest on the firetv audible app while cleaning. I can't believe how much I got done in 2.5 hours and finished the book. I was going to hire a cleaning company but it's not necessary now.
Big thanks to Becky, the author! I will get other books and I just visit the website. This is a big help for busy adults who don't believe they have enough time to do cleaning tasks in a short amount of time.
It's a great book and an instant big help. Thanks!
