A runaway bride rushes headlong into true love in a funny, flirty, and empowering romance by Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Lauren Landish.

Hope Barlowe is a vow away from a lakeside wedding to her high school sweetheart. Next, check off her follow-up dreams: two kids, a dog, a home, and a happy ever after. But suddenly, ever after seems like a very long time. Instead of saying I do, Hope thinks I can’t and bolts for the woods—right into the unpredictable life of a handsome tattooed hiker.

Days into a three-week getaway, struggling musician Ben Taylor is in search of inspiration. He never thought he’d find a bride stumbling through the bramble. Right away her sweet baby blues, confounding dilemma, and spirited independence strike a chord. Ben has found his muse, and he’s falling fast. Hope is finding something just as important—herself.

Soon enough Hope and Ben have all of Maple Creek talking—and divided. Where do they go from here? If Hope has learned anything, it’s that happiness is more than a checklist, and dreams can change in a heartbeat.

Critic reviews

“[A] playful small-town romance and series opener…Readers will be eager to return to Maple Creek.”Publishers Weekly

“This small town, good girl falls for the bad boy romance was cute, sweet and a bit spicy. A total must read…”Harlequin Junkie

“Some authors just seem to have a natural knack for penning original stories of romance with all the highs and lows and ultimately happy endings that make the genre so popular. With the publication of I Do With You, author Lauren Landish demonstrates herself to be just such a novelist.”—Midwest Book Review

I loved the characters of Ben and Hope. And it’s refreshing when characters talk about things without beating around the bush. Sometimes in other books the inner dialogue is annoying and fatiguing seeming like the author extends it just to get enough words on the page, but this one is just right, especially when it comes to how they feel good or bad.

Very good!

OMG, where do I even begin? This book had me hooked from the very first page, and trust me, it’s a slow burn that’s so worth the wait.

Hope Barlowe is about to marry her high school sweetheart and check off all the “life goals” — but, plot twist — she freaks out, bolts into the woods, and runs straight into Ben Taylor, a hot, tattooed, bearded musician just looking for some inspiration. I mean, can we say “fate”??

The chemistry between Hope and Ben is off the charts!

Hope is this sweet, small-town girl who thought she had it all figured out, but when she realizes her forever might not be all it’s cracked up to be, she runs away—right into a life-changing adventure. Ben, on the other hand, is dealing with his own stuff, but when their worlds collide, sparks fly. It’s emotional, swoon-worthy, and so steamy.

I loved how the story isn’t just about romance—it’s about Hope finding herself, breaking free from expectations, and learning that happiness is more than just a checklist. The narration by Stella Hunter and Ryan West? Spot on. They totally brought Hope and Ben to life. Whether you’re reading it or listening to the audiobook, you won’t want to miss this one.

Honestly, I Do With You is a perfect start to the Maple Creek series. I can't wait to see what else Lauren Landish has in store! Highly recommend it if you're into a heartwarming, feel-good, slow-burn romance with a ton of heart.

This is a story about a runaway bride from a small town that meets a big city musician. The literally ran into each other.

It was a cute story but felt a bit rushed on them falling in love as she had just left her groom at the alter. It was a lot of fun to listen to. And there was the redemption of Sean at the end.

I really enjoy this authors writing. Give it a listen!

When I say laugh out loud entertainment, I MEAN IT! There is some comedy gold in this book. Romantic comedies are not going to improve your brain capacity, but this one will definitely make you want a "Ben" in your life. I absolutely love how this author makes the MMC a fantastic example of love of female empowerment! He encourages the FMC to be herself, make her own decisions and absolutely gives her room and support to become who she is meant to be. I loved this story and highly recommend. Other reviews mention foul language and I guess for some it would be off putting. For me it was not; I would further say that the dialogue in this book was right on brand for how people would converse given their professions in the book. The narration was outstanding.

This book was completely entertaining!

This was a fun and cute story. There were things I didn’t like, for instance the song lyrics and lines the MMC would say often throughout the story. Kinda threw me off. And the anger between Ben and Sean was strange. But otherwise it was a fun read. First time I’ve read this authors work.

Surprisingly good is an understatement - this was a wild ride from the start and fumbled a little at the finish. The beginning was reminiscent of "Smokey and the Bandit" with the runaway bride bit, and I must say, it set the tone for a good time. I loved the small town aspect with a dab of outsider Rockstar - it was like the perfect recipe for a rocking good time. And let's not forget the town's antics, picking sides and having a running poll - it was like the ultimate showdown.

The ending was a little blah but overall a good story

This book is beautiful to me and I would recommend to anyone who is either seeking love after the end of a relationship or for anyone who is trying to build the courage to put themself first.
