About this listen

Newly minted doctor Jane McGill is in hell.

Not literally, of course. But between her drug addict patients, sleepless nights on call, and battling wits with the sadistic yet charming Sexy Surgeon, Jane can’t imagine an afterlife much worse than her first month of medical internship at County Hospital.

And then there’s the devil herself: Jane’s senior resident Dr. Alyssa Morgan. When Alyssa becomes absolutely hell-bent on making her new interns pay tenfold for the deadly sin of incompetence, Jane starts to worry that she may not make it through the year with her soul or her sanity still intact.

If you aren’t in the medical field, this likely won’t be your cup of tea.

I’m sure it’s great for nurses and medical students. Not for a plain old business major though. I put it on 1.5 just to finish.

It’s not new!

It’s a great book, but darn I purchased it and already have listened to it, don’t understand what that is about.

No plot

I usually like FM books but this one had no plot. I mostly didn’t like the main character being portrayed as so weak and unable to stand up for herself. It didn’t feel realistic to a women in medical school.

no protagonist

no mystery, reads more like a rather dull diary. I normally love this author's books

Not what you're expecting

I'm a huge Freida McFadden fan and I have listened to all of her books EXCEPT this one!

This book isn't a mystery or anything like her typical books; it's more of a hospital romance (a poor one at that). It looks like it was just released, but it actually came out in 2013. It's not terrible, but if you're looking for what you'd come to expect from Freida, this definitely isn't it. Proceed with caution...

this is not new

I love the book but it's not new. I purchased this thinking it was part of the book I already listened to but it's the same book! it's upsetting because I spent $11 on a book I already have!

Boring

This book was so boring. I was waiting for something exciting to happen, but it just dragged on about a med student. Like I said boring 😴

Hours away 18. Chance of quitting 0.

Not the typical Freida McFadden that I’m use to but still loved it! The narrator did excellent in keeping my attention! Good read!
