Our family *loves* The Fallicy Detective!

We listen to this in the car, and use the book at home. It's an enjoyable read - using it with ages 9, 11, 13 and 16 simultaneously. Grab a copy - it leads to many interesting family discussions. :)

Great for Homeschool

I screened this book for future use with our 4 kids (homeschooling). I found the audio book to be easy to follow/listen to. When the time comes, I’ll be getting the paper copy so the worksheet/examples/application section will be more useful.

Easy Education

This is a great logic resource, the lessons are easy to understand and full of humour, as are the examples of how various fallacies are frequently used in places like advertising and politics. Lots of appeal for students in their teens, but also helpful as an adult to become more familiar with the propaganda or marketing ploys I’m likely to be taken in by.
Highly recommend.

The Fallacy Detective

What a great blessing not only for us as adults, but my children are learning so much on how to spot bad logic in others and even more important in themselves. We like how Scripture is woven through-out. Highly advise to get a copy for us (adults) and for our children and teach it to them. Our kids love the part when they "SCREAM" RED HERRING!

This Is No Red Herring

My 10-year old enjoyed listening to this book, much to my surprise and pleasure. The reader has a pleasant voice and makes the words easy to hear. The author makes the subject easy to understand. It has been enlightening to discuss the individual lessons with my 10-year old: he understands some of the examples that I don’t!! The Audible App format makes it easy to rewind so one can listen to explanations and examples more than once when needed. I haven’t yet tried listening to and reading the physical book—I am looking forward to trying that.

A favorite among students

My students look forward to this every week. The book is written in a engaging and humorous way making it hard to just cover a couple of chapters at a time. You'll find yourself not wanting to put it down. It's not long and you'll see your students picking out the different fallacies they hear in the news or in ads.

Educational and fun

This book is a great introduction to logic, using easy-to-understand and funny examples. My original goal in learning about fallacies was to be able to spot inconsistencies in real life. Whenever I listened in the car, to my surprise, even my 4th graders would pay attention and eagerly join in trying to answer the questions at the end of each chapter. It was my children's idea to make up fallacies for each other to analyze. We shared a lot of laughs and learned so much in the process. The narrator of the audiobook was easy to understand and did a great job with voices. Each chapter is short and easy to digest. I'm so glad we have this resource!

Amazing audio!

*I got this book for free in order to do a review for it.*

I have the ebook version and I learned a lot from it, but the audiobook takes learning to another level! I got very excited when they posted a snippet of the recording process and it looks promising and, actually, it’s a delight to listen to!

The reader has a British accent which gives a Sherlockian flavor to the book, then when it’s time to do the exercises, it gives you time to think and answer. Very challenging when you have to think quick before the answer comes up! It’s a good book to listen to while driving as it will distract you from long hours but it’ll keep your mind running and focused.

These guys did a tremendous work and I recommend this audiobook 1,000%

Job well done!!!
