My top recommendation to women!
I've been a childbirth educator and birth doula since 10 years and am beyond thrilled to find this resource for my clients. This book is a must-read for anyone who ovulates/menstruates!!! If that's you, please please read this book. Whether you're trying not to conceive, trying to conceive, or just wanting to increase body awareness and wisdom so you can become your own best health detective, this is the BEST book for any and all of that.

A must read for healthcare professionals!
A wealth of research and knowledge was poured into this book! As a Registered Nurse working in women’s health education, I firmly believe in advocacy… and The Fifth Vital Sign is packed with firm evidence- and clinical-based information. This book gives the power back to women and menstruators to advocate for their health! Wish I had this book years ago!
This book. I cannot say good enough things. Lisa does a simply incredible job and presenting the evidence-based science behind fertility, women’s reproductive health, hormonal contraception, and menstruation. She does so in a way that is captivating and easily digestible. I wish I had this book years ago, and perhaps I would have reconsidered hormonal contraception as a young teen. Incredible work!

Amazing information for ALL women!
I cannot believe we are not taught this information about our bodies. I’ve learned SO much from this book and am already applying it in my life (preconception health, using FAM to prevent pregnancy instead of dangerous pills, and then to conceive baby #2 when we are ready). I used some of these concepts in tracking to conceive our daughter and we conceived on the first try - it’s amazing what knowing your body does for your health.

Must Read for Women

Empowering message
I do wish there was a way to see the handouts as they are being addressed in the book, I also wish there was an easy way to see all the supplements and books recommended and referenced through the audible app and platform.

If you’re a woman, you need this!
I’m so thankful I found this information! Every girl and woman should learn about what Lisa teaches and advocates. Understanding our bodies, how our environment and nutrients affect us is so eye opening and empowering! From understanding the differences between cervical mucas, vaginal slough or arousal fluid to treating painful periods Lisa covers it all! I liked that she, the author reads the book and especially all the science she shares.
