About this listen

Forty-years old and still reeling from a public and painful divorce, Thalia Blackwood is looking for a fresh start, somewhere far away from her upside down life. When she's offered a new job as the sports therapist for a football (soccer) team, she jumps at the chance. This is just what she needs to leave the heartbreak and shame of Manchester behind, trading it in for the warmth and hopeful vibrancy of Madrid.

Alejo Albarado is rising up the ranks in his career. As the charming forward for the Real Madrid team, Alejo's life revolves around women, parties, and being a tabloid darling, that is until the new sports therapist joins the team.

Their passion could not be ignored. What starts out as a strictly professional relationship between Thalia and the young Spanish player, slowly evolves into something more. Much more.

But their combustible chemistry and simmering sexual tension can only go so far-should Thalia give into Alejo's advances, she's at risk of not only losing her job, but succumbing to a younger man will drag her through the spotlight again.

Alejo might be worth that risk. Unless he breaks her heart in the process.

Contains mature themes.

the story was fantastic. the male voice was great. But the female voice sounded like she was a news anchor.

Wounding Secrets

I was not disappointed with this Book 📚 A Real heartfelt Age Gap Younger Man older Woman Romance 💕 Plenty of Heat 🔥 Passion, disappointments, jealousy and Heart ache. New friends and letting old ones go. The Narrator's did an excellent Job and the Author should write another Book of a Young Man and Order Woman ✨

Nice Spanish Accent

I liked the story, it was really sweet and tender. I like the fact that the age gap is reversed and it is the first time I read this kind of trop. The female narrator was a little robotic at times, but it was good in general, although she can work a little on her Spanish pronunciation. On the other hand, the male narrator was pretty good, acting the emotions and everything, you could actually hear him smile, the Spanish accent was pretty good! It reminded me of Enrique Iglesias, pretty sexy.

WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WITHOUT THE MALE NARRATION

I'm halfway through the story got me interested but I cannot.... Absolutely cannot deal with the male narrator's voice And it gets worse with him doing the female voice....ughhh.. It would've been better just leaveing the female doing all of it. And she's not even a hundred percent but she's better than the male... I'm hoping I can finish the book....

update: I finished the book and I absolutely loved the story line. I did fast forward a lot with the male narrator.... The story kept me interested the whole way through!!! I love the age gap romance books!!! 😍

Love older woman younger man romantic stories

This was spectacular in the way the author wrote the soccer game scenes. I don't follow sports, buy I was caught up in the action of the game. I also enjoyed the deep dive into the emotional turmoil the characters expressed. They were believable and well written.

Excellent!!!

I really didn’t think that this story would have been as good as it turned out. Narration was good… development of the storyline was well done! I recommend this audiobook. Some may not care for the narration, but it’s not bad. Give it a chance.

it sounds cliché but it's not

Karina has really done it with this one. Thalia and Alejo leap off the page. The female narrator was ok, a little clinical. Alexander Cendese was amazing. I loved his Spanish accent. He makes up for her lack of passion. I couldn't quit listening! Please, Karina, consider doing more in this line (soccer, Spanish characters). Alejo is a rare bird in a world of macho males. KH runs him through all the emotions and passionate responses. let's just say you'll fall in love with Alejo too. I loved Love in English and Love in Spanish too. KH's characters go through realistic trials. Silly made up angst bores me. This book was one of your finest KH (Give us more and Alexander Cendese narrating please!!!)

Intense, wonderful love story

I love the older woman and younger man love story. Loved how Aleho loved his Talia. This is a well written, intense, taboo love story. Don’t miss reading it. Male narration could have been better.
