About this listen
It was his pheromones that did it. With one sniff, sex researcher Leigh Fromm recognizes that any offspring she might have with the mysterious stranger would have a better-than-average chance of surviving any number of impending pandemics. But when Leigh finds out that the handsome "someone" at her great aunt's wake is Prince Roman Habsburg von Lorraine of Austria, she suddenly doubts her instincts - not that she was intending to sleep with the guy. The royal house of Habsburg was once completely inbred, insanity and impotency among the highlights of their genetic pedigree. (The extreme "bulldog underbite" that plagued them wasn't called the Habsburg Jaw for nothing.)
It doesn't matter that his family hasn't sat on a throne (other than the ones in their Toilette) since 1918, or that Austria is now a parliamentary democracy. Their lives couldn't be more different: Roman is routinely mobbed by paparazzi in Europe. Leigh is regularly mocked for having the social skills of a potted plant. Even if she suddenly developed grace, charm and a pedigree that would withstand the scrutiny of the press and his family, what exactly is she supposed to do with this would-have-been king of Austria who is in self-imposed exile in Denver, Colorado?
A handsome prince, gut-busting laughs, love, dirty ballroom dancing, pathetic commoners, sex factoids, Vienna palaces, cursing in German, random hilarity, little to no frogs. See why tens of thousands of readers have fallen in love with this Amazon best seller! Because someday your prince will come...sort of.

Story
The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.

Would you listen to The Frog Prince again? Why?
I would listen to The Frog Prince again. I love the book. I also like the voice reciting the book. She was very good with reading even the terribly difficult German parts. What other book might you compare The Frog Prince to and why?
Other romantic comedies. This was the first book that I read by this author which immediately got me hooked on all her other books.Which scene was your favorite?
One of my favorite parts of the book is when Roman and Leigh are at the dance. The conversation that Leigh has with the other women. I literally laugh out loud every time I read or listen to it.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me laugh and cry. I love that even though Leigh is not Luke me at all she is very relatable. She's smart, funny, clever, and loving. I fell in love with her and Romans story.Wonderful!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Frog Prince to be better than the print version?
I would consider them both equally the same, but listening makes life a little easier!Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved Leigh Fromm... because she is so funny and hard not to love!Which character – as performed by Leah Frederick – was your favorite?
I believe that Leah Frederick did an amazing job as ALL characters! Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending was amazing! I was touched by the entire book. I was happy, sad, giggled, and even once or twice I teared up! Well written!!!Any additional comments?
I hope that Elle Lothlorien and Leah Frederick team up again! An amazing book, and a well done audible!!!Humerous Love Story

What made the experience of listening to The Frog Prince the most enjoyable?
I'm a multi-tasker, and I love listening to audiobooks and podcasts while doing things like driving, household chores, standing in line at the bank, etc! I often re-listen to books that I've read, because I'm so hooked on the story, and it provides a fun backdrop to mundane chores! The Frog Prince by Lothlorien is one of my favorites, and it was such a thrill to have in as an audiobook!!!What was one of the most memorable moments of The Frog Prince?
The part when Leigh meets Roman after maiming his foot!Which scene was your favorite?
I LOVED the scene where Leigh visits Roman's treehouse for the first time! The entire evening just feels so romantic and magical! Like being swept away in a dream! If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Sometimes your childhood dreams DO come true!Any additional comments?
This book was so much fun to read! Even more fun to listen to! It was great hearing all the voices and accents. I'm not very good with accents myself, so when I read the book, all the voices in my head sounded the same! Audiobooks are the PERFECT platform for a multinational cast of characters!!!Loved the book, love listening on the go!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Frog Prince to be better than the print version?
I consider the two versions almost equal. With the audio version, you are listening to a different interpretation of characters than what you may read.Who was your favorite character and why?
Leigh Frahm because she reminded me of me and I like that she was true to her personality and self.Which scene was your favorite?
The ending was extremely romantic, however my favorite was when Roman showed Leigh his tree house.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This story made me laugh a lot. It made me sad in parts, then happy again. Then laughing again. I thoroughly enjoyed the story.Any additional comments?
I would recommend this audio book to any adults who want to believe that contemporary adult fairy tales can still make you believe in happily ever after. I would buy more of this author. Loved the characters and the story.Frog Prince, Cinderella with Pretty Woman humorous
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
When I learned from Elle's Facebook page that an audio version was being recorded, I was ecstatic. I listen to books at work during my busy season to help me get through the 9-10 hour days I have to put in and was ready to add The Frog Prince to my collection. I was not disappointed!
Leah Frederick, a happy coincidence of shared given names with the main character, does an admirable job of reading the book. With all those German words, it couldn't have been an easy time in the studio for Ms. Frederick, and I can only give her kudos for having done so with such aplomb. I'm sure with time and more experience, she'll become even better at her craft (I must note that I have not listened to any of the other books she's read as of yet).
If you're a fan of romantic comedies, witty authors, and fairy tale endings, you should definitely purchase this audiobook.
A Modern Day Fairy Tale
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
Would you consider the audio edition of The Frog Prince to be better than the print version?
I did not read the print version, so cannot compare. I'm not big on romance novels and agreed to listen to the audio version of The Frog Prince because of my friend's suggestion that I would enjoy it. She was right - I did enjoy it and will be listening to more of Elle Lothlorien's books. I think that the genre of romantic comedy is one that I will investigate further.Who was your favorite character and why?
I thought that all of the characters were strong and Leah's narration brought them all to life well. My favorite, though, was the protagonist, Leigh. I liked her down-to-earth personality, her humor and the way she showed the struggles of many talented, single women (whether they look like a model or not!).What does Leah Frederick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
One of the great things about reading a print book is that your imagination supplies the look and sound of each character and I still want to experience that even when I listen to an audio book. Leah was able to capture that fine balance of voicing each character perfectly, yet not getting in the way of my own experience. I think that's an amazing talent!Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I listened to this book mostly during my workouts and like my headline intimates, I cracked up so much that my abs got a better workout from the laughing than the crunches I usually do! This is a very funny book already, but Leah Frederick's narration adds to the humor. I also found myself tearing up at the poignant spots along the way.Any additional comments?
I hope that Elle will have Leah narrate more of her books! :-)So Funny! Good Ab Workout!
