Decent.

I didn't find it as great and compelling as the first book. the ending was very anticlimactic and seemed rushed to me, however there was some good character development for Emma and I'm excited to see what's next.

Chew, chew then blow

You’ve heard of the Bubble Gum generation… preteens crazy about Justin whatever his name is.. this book was a bubble gum story. Not very exciting and very predictable. I read two of this author’s books to make sure of my decision not to read another.

I thought I knew who was kidnapping all the kids.

Book 2 in the Emma Griffin FBI series was quite the 'page tuner.' I thought I knew who was kidnapping all the kids. I was wrong. But that is the point of a great mystery. I was definitely surprised at the end. I still have so many questions about who is stalking Emma though. Again point in favor of it being a series, but man, I want to know.

Claire Duncan was great as the narrator. I flew through the story in a day.

Need the Next One Now!

I'm back with book two of the Emma Griffin FBI series, and dare I say it? I think our little Emma is maturing a bit! The first book our main character was lacking some much needed common sense to be taken seriously as an FBI agent, and I found that this book improved on that! I like that this series is taking us through some character development as we get a brand new case on top of that!

I am glad to say that the narrator remained the same between the first book and the second. I mean, it makes sense to keep the same one for a series and would be quite jarring if they hadn't. But I'm also just really glad because I think that she does a phenomenal job and is perfect for this series! And I stay true to my original claim that a crime driven plot is the PERFECT book to read in audiobook form. It's like being read a scary bed time story and that makes my morbid self quite happy! Especially with spooky season upon us!

Now, I found this book slightly less "scary" than the first one (not that I really find either scary per-say, I just know other people will). And while that mildly makes me sad, Rivers does make up for it by further development in other areas. So each book has it's positives and seeing how this series is evolving just makes me want to continue it even more so! So I'm excited to see what comes next and what new changes/adaptations I might see!

Cliffhanger

This book was great! The whole time the clues are leading you one way and then there's such a twist and a wicked Cliffhanger! I have to get the next book now to see what happens and more clues unfold!

Going back to the start…

Good story. FBI Profiler, Emma Griffin, is on a leave of absence from work and has decided to return to her childhood home for a while. Once there, Emma is visited by her old hs boyfriend, Sheriff Sam, who asks for her assistance in locating missing children. The pair team up and race to find a killer before it’s too late.
Good story with good ending.

Will keep you on your toes!

This book kept me guessing the whole time! Then that ending - what?!? The narrator brought the story to life and kept me intrigued. The story flowed so easily that I almost listened in one sitting! A great listen for a long road trip because you won't want to stop listening!
