WINNING MEANS WEALTH, FAME, AND A LIFE OF THERAPY LOSING MEANS DEATH, BUT ALSO FAME! THIS IS THE HUNGER PAINS

When Kantkiss Neverclean replaces her sister as a contestant on the Hunger Games - the second-highest-rated reality TV show in Peaceland, behind Extreme Home Makeover - she has no idea what to expect. Having lived her entire life in the telemarketing district’s worst neighborhood, the Crack, Kantkiss feels unprepared to fight to the death while simultaneously winking and looking adorable for the cameras. But when her survival rests on choosing between the dreamy hunk from home, Carol Handsomestein, or the doughy klutz, Pita Malarkey, Kantkiss discovers that the toughest conflicts may not be found on the battlefield but in her own heart... which is unfortunately on a battlefield.

A good parody

The Hunger Pains is a spot on parody. It retells the story of the hunger games pointing out some of the more gapping plot holes and some of the sillier plot points. The story is well put together and the characters of humorous. I would recommend reading the hunger games first as it helps you understand some of the jokes.
Overall a good parody.

Super Funny Story that makes you constantly laugh out loud but…

You would not get any of the jokes if you have never read the book before. If you have read the book but not in along time, I would recommend you reread the book first to get all of the amazingly funny jokes masterfully written by the Harvard Lampoon

HILARIOUS 😂

This book is complete amazingness! I loved every bit of it, and the narration made it even funnier! I would recommend this to anyone who has already read the Hunger Games for the sake of not spoiling. Also it's more funny if you already know the actual story.

Funny in print and even funnier on audible!

I absolutely loved every single chapter of this book. I read it in print several years ago and never forgot how hilarious it was! SO glad I listened to it on audible! I highly recommend this creative work of art!

Absolutely amazing

If you love hunger games and ridiculously stupid humor this is absolutely for you. I read this when it first came out like 10 years ago and was unsure if the audible version would live up, but it makes it 20 times better. I do delivery for work and listen to this, every single sentence has me laughing my a** off
