About this listen

A body in a pool. A rifle. And a scream that carries across the valley.

But is that the end, or just the beginning?

It's been a hard couple of years, but things finally seem to be looking up for Danielle. Her boyfriend Matteo has inherited a dilapidated old farmhouse in Tuscany, complete with olive groves, vineyards and—most importantly—a pool. They will swim, drink wine and sit out under the stars. It couldn't be more perfect.

When she gets there, Danielle finds it's not quite as idyllic as she thought. There's a lot of work to be done on the house, but first she turns her attention to making the algae-infested concrete swamp into the infinity pool of her dreams.

As she digs up the old foundations, Danielle brings to light long-buried secrets that will shatter the tranquillity of her Tuscan dream forever—and make her question how well we ever know the people we claim to love....

A psychological suspense for fans of C.L. Taylor and T.M. Logan.

The Infinity Pool,” written by a first timer fir me, Claire Lewis, is expertly narrated by Rachel Atkins. This dynamic duo in British suspense kept me hooked from start to finish. The story seamlessly weaves back and forth in time, unraveling a complex and intriguing murder mystery that had me guessing. I was captivated from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what twists and turns lay ahead. The surprises are expertly woven throughout, culminating in a jaw-dropping conclusion that will leave you speechless. I highly recommend “The Infinity Pool” and it's well worth using a precious credit. I was fortunate enough to find it in the Audible Plus catalog at no extra cost - grab it while you can! Epic, I say!

I devoured this complexellent thriller

Almost thought I’d accidentally skipped a chapter because it ended so abruptly…didn’t feel like it tied up at the end at all.

Didn’t like ending

This was quite an interesting read.
I could never quite suss out where things were going, and none of the characters were even particularly relatable or empathetic.
However. I couldn’t put it down.
I found it to be highly entertaining and very unique, both the story itself and the way it was told.
The narration was great and the ending was, well, just…
Certainly worth a credit.

Strange But Wonderful

The story line, the setting, the characters were wonderful. Extremely captivating and leaves you hanging on for more. Great build up. The ending, however, left me so confused. It’s as if I missed something. It jumps to a whole different narrative. I want to know what happens to her and him or was it all a story in the book the lady in the end was ready. Such a disappointing end after such a marvelous story line. I hate ending on confusion.

Great suspense- awful ending

the story was ok. the idealogy in this book, regarding the pandemic, is ridiculous. there is nothing selfish about moving or wanting to remodel your pool during the pandemic. do better.

utterly ridiculous ideology

Enjoyable, left some unanswered questions... that part I don't care for! easy listening, and understand

My thoughts

What a very slow and boring book. One of the worst I have ever listened to or read.

Slow and Boring

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

I tried, but I’m not interested in slogging through a recap of each stage of the pandemic such as mask mandates, enforced social distancing, supply chain issues, etc., especially at the cost of developing the characters. The jumps back and forth between the two narratives also stop any momentum from gathering.

The Author Really Wants to Talk About the Pandemic
