About this listen

The follow-up to Erin Sterling’s New York Times bestselling hit The Ex Hex features fan favorite Gwyn and the spine-tinglingly handsome Wells Penhallow as they battle a new band of witches and their own magical chemistry.

Gwyn Jones is perfectly happy with her life in Graves Glen. She, her mom, and her cousin have formed a new and powerful coven; she’s running a successful witchcraft shop, Something Wicked; and she’s started mentoring some of the younger witches in town. As Halloween approaches, there’s only one problem—Llewellyn “Wells” Penhallow.

Wells has come to Graves Glen to re-establish his family’s connection to the town they founded as well as to make a new life for himself after years of being the dutiful son in Wales. When he opens up a shop of his own, Penhallow’s, just across the street from Something Wicked, he quickly learns he’s gotten more than he bargained for in going up against Gwyn.

When their professional competition leads to a very personal—and very hot—kiss, both Wells and Gwyn are determined to stay away from each other, convinced the kiss was just a magical fluke. But when a mysterious new coven of witches come to town and Gwyn’s powers begin fading, she and Wells must work together to figure out just what these new witches want and how to restore Gwyn’s magic before it’s too late.

The story is predictable but very cute. A great cute love story for fall. Also, the narrator is spot on.

Cute

This is exactly what I expected for the second book of this series! Wells and Gwen were everything I love and adore about a Halloween based rom com. Minimal spice, a lot of cute banter & a great HEA!

Witchy & Adorable!

This was a fun romp in the witchy world with a delightful through line of romance and sex. Unfortunately, the narrator made all of the female characters sound like valley girls, it was hard to get past.

Delightful and spicy

the voice actor is kind of distracting and the story really moves a bit too slow for me. I loved the Ex Hex and hoped I would like this one but... it's a bit meh. I may pick this back up later and actually read it.

Just as good as the first book. Different, which it should be and great story line. Love the narrator giving a different voice. At first the Welsh accent was off but it worked out. I highly recommend if you liked Ex Hex and want a light hearted romantic comedy.

Once I got over the voices sounding different from The Ex Hex I was able to enjoy the story. I stayed up all night to finish it. I didn't have a problem as some others did with the lengthy descriptive phrases. Definitely would recommend purchasing. One technical thing - the Chapter Numbers were showing up incorrect . They are 4 Chapters off.

Good Story.

Very cute story! Didn’t blow me away, but I really enjoyed the casual listen. Might re-listen in the Fall. Narration was sweet and engaging but Welles’s accent was unclear. (Thought the same of his brother in the first book.)

Cute, easy listen

I read the Ex Hex, and thought it was a cute Halloween story and this one made me love this world even more. So glad she wrote another one. Hope there might e another one. It’s a cute story with some good steamy chapters and loved that we got to see more of Gwyn’s quick wit.

Another Cute Story by Erin Sterling

Since I finished Vivi’s book I was waiting for Gwyn’s. I was not expecting Rhys’ brother to be the one Gwyn was paired with. Wells is in town to open his own store, but strange things are once again happening. With each book I hate Wells’ dad even more. I need Bowen’s book asap!

After reading all the glorious reviews involving author Erin Sterling’s “The Ex Hex” I decided to get on this October “witchy” read bandwagon. I got the audio of her new novel “The Kiss Curse”. It started slow for me, but thank The Goddess it improved.

This is a silly rom/com with magical and witchy embellishment. There are competing magic shops, spells, witchery and a bit of black magic in the town of Gravesglen.

This story is a bit “steamy” in places. A bit too steamy for me, but not a distraction. It’s a cute story that takes place in October right before Halloween. It got me in the mood, so of…

The audible audio is. Narrated by Shannon McManus.
