About this listen

There's more Maggie to love as pregnancy expands her waistline and shortens her temper. And now the hag has to deal with the holidays too? If this is the most wonderful time of the year, somebody goofed.

Jackie Parker's marriage is on the rocks, and we're not talking ice here. 'Tis the season for a happy family, but Jackie just wants to ride this Christmas out alone with her dog, her monkey and her remote control. Unfortunately the Dark Prince has other plans.

Miami is a hotbed of criminal activity, but no one expects to be robbed by Santa himself! With the big jolly man in the bright red suit doing a few B&Es in the neighborhood, Maggie's vacation is soon swapped out for a criminal investigation. And she's teaming up with a new neurotic partner. Holiday hilarity ensues when Damaged Goods and the Laundry Hag join forces for a takedown you won't want to miss!

She found her a new buddy!

Maggie is pregnant overwhelmed and climbing the walls like a monkey in the zoo. Neil plans a Florida giveaway and like all adventures in the laundry hag’s life it a wild a bumpy ride!!! Airport issues that are cringe worthy and then to land and the hits keep coming. Of course Maddie isn’t going to lay on the beach and relax. She finds an accomplice to keep her entertained when she meets Jackie who also can’t seem to keep her nose where it doesn’t belong. A funny entertaining holiday read that is a great reminder that it’s bot always what you have but who you have that matters. Also makes want to jump into Jackie’s series because she seems like a magnet for trouble too! So many books so little time!

A lot of fun!

This book was by far my favourite in this series. It was cozy and fun, and I had a wonderful time listening to it.

I loved Maggie and Jackie together – I kind of prefer their sleuthing over the Parker family. For one, there was less focus on family drama and more on the investigation. But more there was also a solid friendship and humour that really spoke to me.

Another thing that I really loved was Suzanne Cerreta’s narration. Her accent for Maggie was spot on and switched between them seamlessly. She truly gets the characters and brings them to life and makes you a part of the story – to the point where you felt like washing your own hands from that sticky white substance Jackie put her hand in.

I hope there will be more of this duo in the future, because they were a lot of fun!

A copy of this book was generously gifted to me by the author.

Whole story oozed Christmas

My absolute favorite Laundry Hag story, I enjoyed it very very much.
This is a Christmas themed book done right, the whole story oozed Christmas.

In previous books, the story is told from the first person perspective of Maggie (with the exception of the prequel)
This book mixes things up, we switch between the point of view of Maggie and Jackie (a new character to the series).
This book had the same feel as the other books, while adding something completely new. Well done.
Jackie was a delightful person to get to know. I immediately felt a connection to her.

I loved everything about this book. The cozy feel-good vibe, Maggie and her family, Jackie and her monkey, the story and the way it is told.
This audio book made me happy, I highly recommend it!
Excellent narration as always.

Edit.
I just found out (via another review) that Jackie has her own series! 'Damaged Goods'.
That's wonderful, I would love to read more about her.
Ow, and I found out that mother and daughter Mackenzie have their own series too, 'Mackenzie & Mackenzie PI Mysteries'
Just wanted to share, in case you loved them as much as I did.

I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Loved it!

I absolutely love the damaged goods series and the Jackie story and this one makes me want to check out all Maggie’s adventures. This story was great! I love that i can’t tell with her books who the bad guy is right from the start. So good!

I received a free copy and left my honest review

Love..

Although I (still!) have not started the Laundry Hag-series, The Damaged Goods-series is one of my favorites. I did not matter that I did not know Maggie in advance as it was easy to get into the story.

The story is told in alternating chapters from Maggie and Jackie's POV. They both need a distraction. Maggie from her pregnancy and Jackie from her failing marriage and her thoughts of Logan. They team up to find the Santa burglar that robs houses so close to Christmas.

Those two women are a hoot and I would love to read another adventure about them. But I also loved hearing more about Jackie and her two Parker men. It is such a difficult triangle and my heart was crying for all of them.

I must say that I ship Jackie/Logan like crazy!
