Good listen once, probably not twice though.

The information covered was interesting, but the performance seemed uneventful. Good listen once, probably not twice though.

Each chapter follows a very clear formula: topic, story, and an elaboration.

The elaborations were not very profound. In my opinion, each chapter could have been shorter so I didn’t have to slog through the mismatch in the reader’s voice and the dry material presented.

Good info, but not engaging

There were some good tips in here, but it seemed to drag out longer than necessary. I could only listen for brief periods, otherwise I'd find myself sleepy and distracted. Listening became a chore for me. The reader was tolerable.

Good overview on a wide range of neuro-related topics

This book covers a lot of ground, with one or more key neuro- models presented in each chapter. Having read many of the related books or articles, this overview seems to provide a good balance of detail with brevity. I’m not sure if someone with less familiarity with the material would feel the same way, but perhaps even if one finds the material a bit challenging due to brevity they could follow the pointers to the source and dig deeper, something I found myself doing in the case of one model (Dr. Fisher’s personality model). Overall an excellent overview.

clinical and pedantic

Good information poorly delivered. The tone ranged from dispassionate to being rigidly obtuse about the specific definition of "multitasking." We get it; humans cant multitask. but I can read at the listen to audible while I'm running or folding laundry. This seems to be lost on the authors who spend a significant chunk of time justifying their position. Could also do without the grandstanding about the ills of smoking.
