Publisher's summary

The Motivation Manifesto is a pulsing, articulate, ferocious call to claim our personal power. World-renowned high performance trainer Brendon Burchard reveals that the main motive of humankind is the pursuit of greater Personal Freedom. We desire the grand liberties of choice - time freedom, emotional freedom, social freedom, financial freedom, spiritual freedom. Only two enemies stand in our way: an external enemy, defined as the social oppression of who we are by the mediocre masses, and an internal enemy, a sort of self-oppression caused by our own doubt and fear.

The march to Personal Freedom, Burchard argues, can be won only by declaring our intent and independence, stepping into our personal power, and battling through self-doubt and the distractions of the day until full victory is won.

Recalling the revolutionist voices of the past that chose freedom over tyranny, Burchard - at times poetic yet always fierce - motivates us to free ourselves from fear and take back our lives once and for all.

Critic reviews

" The Motivation Manifesto is a poetic and powerful call to reclaim our lives and find our own personal freedom. It’s a triumphant work that transcends the title, lifting the reader from mere motivation into a soaringly purposeful and meaningful life. I love this book." (Paulo Coelho)

Good information BUT slow at getting to the point

You need to have lots of time to stop
Make notes and ponder. What is being presented

MOTIVATING!!!

This contains excellent information about motivation in areas of life not typically associated with motivation.

My only detractor was the author's/narrator's aversion to contractions. At times it sounds like he's reading his book as opposed to talking directly to me. I prefer the latter.

Seeking clarity?

Listening to this was addictive! Struggling with weight loss and motivation, I had a hard time sticking to a plan and lasting past 3 days strong. I recommend this to those who struggle with ANYTHING. I put this book in my daily routine to strength my thoughts and rebuild my will. It was the start of my morning no matter what and I took notes diligently to carry me through my day. It's a must read. I'm sad it's over!

slow down time, trap moments, end all stress

This book is a poetic soliloquy on par with how Eckhart Tolle looks like he feels. Aswell as some incredibly concrete definitions of words like integrity, responsibility, character, greatness, intelligence, demand, give your word. Tons of key things highly successful people mention and talk about. While never really defining. I've heard integrity defined as, spokes in a bike wheel. If you are missing some the wheel doesn't work the same. What ever that means. I hate riding bikes with wheels like that! I used BMX bikes with rims and solid metal parts to substitute the spokes with solid rubber tires to avoid flats. With fly gears that don't even use chains. I mean maybe if I were Buzz Killington from Family Guy would that definition of integrity make some logical sense. Instead this book defines it more like being punctual. You say you will do X by Y time. Know you can do X, it may not be perfect like X! BUT as long as you get to Y and don't miss the demand. And X is delivered, while you own your self and skills. Y is the key. And It's more about agreeing and creating a Y. than it is about the X.

Chris Voss says it like this in his book Never Split The Difference. All time limits are abitrary and are for show, the limits and demands are always negotiable. The purpose of a negotiation is to get business to work and start to function. When two parties agree, things can begin and the party can start.

In my eyes, integrity is about being an amazing host in your party of agreements. And not to let any of your guests down. You choose the music, you are the DJ! Mix it up and create the setting. It all comes from your ideas and direction. People don't want words, they want actions. The thing is. They chose you because YOU are the party they want to go to. Maintain integrity and keep the party bumping. Weather it's a chill zen forest to host some book club or a loud engine filled car club. YOU are the host and as the host, make sure you can make it the best event it could be. THAT package. THAT experience is what people agree to. And keeping your word is bringing it to them. It's all on you to deliver impact and the value they want. But if you can, the world is yours.

A book to carry 4Ever

I love this book and I trust its content is for You to carry with 4ever! It's worthy to relisten/ reread from time to time and it's super practical. It gives real depth of values to implement on daily life and it's NOTHING you would read elsewhere. It's written in a form so strong that I trust it should be cherished for ages. I am deeply grateful for Brendon Burchard sharing his gifts with us all in such an incredible way.

In addition to this, quality, performance itself is amazing. You would never fall asleep or get bored. The message goes smoothly straight to your heart, brains and, hopefully, ACTIONS.
