About this listen

Happily ever after isn't guaranteed…

Brooke Montgomery has struggled ever since her parents died in a tragic accident, leaving her alone and heartbroken at a young age. Working double shifts just to pay the mounting bills was a cycle she seemingly couldn't break from.

Until she met him...

The charming and handsome surgeon, Noah Wimberly.

Dr. Noah Wimberly's first wife, Riya, mysteriously died, yet her body was never found. When Noah meets Brooke, who has an uncanny resemblance to Riya, Noah knows he can't let Brooke go.

She's his mid-life crisis.

He's her way out.

The only problem is Brooke starts to realize that the tight-knit Laguna Beach society she's now immersed in has a strange way of protecting its own, and she may need to unearth deadly secrets before it's too late. The next place after the honeymoon doesn't seem like it'll be home.

Will she be able to handle what's coming for the next Mrs. Wimberly, for better or for worse?

Monica has done it again…

The Last Mrs. Wimberly by Monica Arya review…

Monica, Monica, Monicaaaaaaaaa, girl you have done it again, this was hands down an incredible read. I enjoyed listening and reading it, I enjoyed the storyline, the plot and characters. Although most characters were literally annoying as heck and evil, this book did not disappoint. I loved how you just capture reality that happens in todays life and make them into a wonderful and meaningful fiction novel. You have opened my feelings and emotions all at once, my heart pounded and stayed tensed once the thrill was released and the beast was set free. But I might say you are a little demented and deranged and honey I am here for it because so AM I!!! (Wink, wink 😉)

The Red Market today is so real and bringing this topic to such a horrific story brought so many tears and emotions that I did not know existed. Mental health is also something that is so real and not talked enough about, as well as PTSD. What Brooke experienced is just beyond crazy but “the reality” of life. We are all tormented and tortured in some way, including myself, definitely not having my organ’s sold for money without my consent, or being raped numerous times but my mind is my most sensitive yet powerful voice and it can either make or break me. lol

From the beginning to the end, such a masterpiece and just in awe 🫢 of passionate but also disturbing embrace and I am so glad that I dived into this read. It left a mark on my soul and will forever remain close to my heart. I cried on so many pages towards the end just holding my chest because I understand and can relate of having endured post-traumatic stress. We all have a story to tell, or not to tell, it is upon the individual but healing, really healing is something that is so important, because if you don’t, you bring all that Baggage, Mess, Stress, with you to all your relationships, (work, friends, family, marriage etc). It is important to really Let Go and Let God, the healing in that is “victory” and pleasing enough, because it never really belonged to us, the victory belongs to the Lord.

Thank You Monica, for writing such an amazing psychological thriller, I now need to pray and schedule another therapy session with my therapist. lol 😂

P.S. - that ending, chef’s kiss! 😘

Happy Reading! Xoxo
