About this listen

Two women are watching each other.

Phoebe Miller isn't sure when the rusty car started showing up in the cul-de-sac she calls home, or why its driver would be spying on her. What could be interesting about an unhappy housewife who drowns her sorrows in ice cream and wine and barely leaves her house?

Only one knows why.

When a new family moves in across the street - the exuberant Vicki, who just might become the gossipy best friend Phoebe's always wanted, and her handsome college-bound son, Jake, who offers companionship of a different variety - Phoebe finds her dull routine infused with the excitement she's been missing. But with her head turned she's no longer focused on the woman in the car. And she really should be....

An addictive domestic thriller for fans of The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Couple Next Door, The Other Mrs. Miller serves up a delicious brew of dark secrets and stunning plot twists that will keep you captivated until the very last page.

Enjoyed this book - slow in a few spots but not bad. I recommend this book.

Good

I almost didn't get this because of the bad reviews about the narrator. And I do agree it was a mismatch for narration, but the story was so good that I am so very glad I got it.. Yes, story may be a bit far fetched but that's the great thing about some books. i like when you think you know whats going to happen. TWIST. I enjoyed it.

Wow, Surprising and Unpredictable.

I can't really think of a good reason for not liking this book. I did not care for the story line, or the narrator's voice, but those are personal opinions that others probably wouldn't agree with me. Just because it is not my particular style, certainly does not mean it is not a good book for other people. That is why I said 3 stars.

Not for me

Picks up pace halfway through. Twisty and not what I expected. Great ending. Will definitely read more by author.

Slow moving at first

It was good...but the ending was a bit of a let down. The Bachman part was odd.

Great until the end.

it was a good read! I wish it ended differently, but it was good.

WOW! *chefs kiss* 🤌🏽 This book was sooooo much fun. I listened to the audiobook, and I enjoyed it SO much. While some reviews say the plot twist was predictable, I had no clue it was coming.

The character development was great! When true colors started showing I couldn’t help but squeal 😂 I am deff one for the dramatics! I didn’t hate nor love any one of them, but I felt like I was watching a spanish soap opera/ Telenovela! 😵‍💫

I found myself audibly gasping and having conversations with the characters out loud. 😂 (Cheering them on, cussing them out, calling them dumb, etc) while the storyline itself was somewhat far fetched, it had me HOOKED! Drama, family issues, marital issues, lies, secrets, and the wow factor… it had it all!
I absolutely loved loved loved The Other Mrs.Miller.

Perfection

The story is interesting, but the backstory was more interesting than the main character plot. Also, the chosen narrator’s voice did not fit the story.

Like the story, the narrator was lacking

I enjoyed listening to this book. However, at times I felt the characters made some very unwise and unrealistic choices. Phoebe was a spoiled rich woman who had suffered emotional abuse from her wealthy, narcissistic father. As the story emerges, we see how her father's bad behavior negatively impacts all the female characters in the story. The men were "weak" but added depth to the story. Although the narrator was good, and her inflections were spot on, at times I had difficulty distinguishing Vicki's voice from Phoebe's and then from Natalia's. (Certainly, Phoebe and Natalia could not have been that much alike--they were not clones!) NOTE to readers: the Interludes will throw you off, but excellently contribute to the mystery of the book! I found the development of the broken characters made this a suspenseful mystery that intrigued me to the very end!

Intriguing and Unlikely turn of Events

The story itself was amusing and some surprising twists and turns. However, the audiobook reader’s performance was not that good. First, it wasn’t believable that this woman’s voice would match a 30 something socialite. Also, she didn’t change her voice when reading other parts so it was confusing as to who was talking in the book.

Twists and turns but something was off
