The Partridge and the Pelican
Author: Rachel Crowther

This is a story of female friends that share the experience of finding an abandoned baby when they were young women and how it effected their lives. It goes back and forth in time to give back story, and it sometimes can be a bit confusing. The story weaves an intricate love, hate, like relationship between the friends.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Rebecca Reed.

The Partridge

This was a fascinating look at womens friendships and how they shaped a few over the last 25 years.I enjoyed it!The back and forth in time was a little confusing at times. Rebecca Reed was a very good narrator. I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

A good read!!!!

i quite liked this story. It didn’t take me long to be invested in the characters. I found myself hoping things would work out, and wanting to know what was going to happen to them.

There were also some interesting twists and surprises along the way.
I also found the reason for the title of the book interesting. I hadn’t heard that myth before.

The narration was very good.
All in all a good job.

Friendships

Eve and Olivia are travelling the UK while on vacation from university, staying with their medical student friend James. While on one of their excursions the two girls find a baby abandoned in a phone booth. They make the decision to take the baby to the nearest hospital. The events that happened that day affect their lives for the next 25 years. The story goes back and forth from 1983 to 2008 telling the story of friendships, marriage, love and hate. The narration was good, but the back and forth a little confusing at times. In the end the whole story ties together.
