Fun and Absorbing

Any additional comments?

The Narrator was fine but the characters primary voice should have been a younger one. The voice artist from Emily Barr's Backpack would have been an excellent choice.

If you enjoy Emily Barr- this one Is for you :)

Read while traveling in Europe-wow

I read the Sleeper & Backpack, & I love Emily Barr. I really relate to her characters in many ways, & the recurring themes I loved in those were in The Perfect Lie too. I read this while traveling to a city in Europe to which I will be moving soon, and wow! I had to blink back tears a few times, because certain passages, I felt like someone could read my mind. I love Emily Barr’s novels. She is a great voice in women’s literature.

Good story line

Even tho at times it was a bit slow and unbelievable overall I was pleased with the end reading experience. Worth the time and $ invested

Good until it wasn't

The Perfect Lie started out fairly entertaining, though confusing with the switchbacks. Then it just got bogged down. I listened to the last couple of chapters to see the ending. As often happens, a letdown book after reading another by the same author which was to me a 5-star (The Sleeper).
