Everyone imagines top CEOs as larger-than-life figures who do things no one else could. But deep down every good business leader is an everyman who combines vision and high energy with the ability to connect with all types of people and learn from them. In The Power of Being Yourself, renowned business leader Joe Plumeri - who served as a top executive at Smith Barney, Citigroup, Primerica, and Willis - offers simple yet profound guidance on how to stay positive, motivate yourself and others, and achieve both personal fulfillment and professional success. By sharing his own experiences, Plumeri explains that the secret to success is not found in boardroom strategy or even corporate philosophy. Rather it's in allowing your true emotions to inform your approach and guide your relationships.

Where does The Power of Being Yourself rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Easily in the top 3. I say this both jokingly and seriously as this is only my third audio book. This is a book that everyone should read at least once in their life. What did you like best about this story?
I liked this book strictly because I had the opportunity to hear Joe speak at my Fraternity's National Convention. He spoke directly to us and hit most of the topics discussed in this book. However, I met him after the seminar and got to shake his hand. His words and stories to "Go play in traffic" stuck with me for over a year before I even had the opportunity to listen to this book. Hearing his voice again helped me remember the passion he put in my when I listed to him back in New Orleans in 2016.What does Joe Plumeri and Joseph A. Califano Jr. bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A reading voice that is easy to pay attention to. They both spoke with enthusiasm and from the heart. It was not just another voice reading from a book for money. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Transferring passion into my everyday work and life.Go Play in Traffic!
