Publisher's summary

The saga continues in this final chapter of survival.

Nearly three years have passed since Stephen Mason, former Federal Air Marshall, along with a plane load of passengers, was unexplainably hurled back through time. It's now 1723, Charlestown, South Carolina Colony. Mason and the three other remaining survivors - his wife, Karen, and best friends, Jeremy and Lisa Jackson - have built their rice plantation into a thriving enterprise. For everyone on the plantation, life is good.

But when an opportunity arises to revisit an old adversary, Mason embarks on a simple fact-finding mission. The risks are minimal until an unforeseen sharp, right turn puts Mason and his families' future in extreme jeopardy.

With so much at stake, can Mason adapt and achieve his ultimate goal? Can he even survive what was to be a simple plan?

This series needs to be enjoyed in order

If you start here you will have no idea what is going on in the story. So definitely start with book 1. Once you do that you will be hooked and find yourself on book 3 in short order.

The people its about of course are people who traveled through time in the previous books but no one in this book actually travels through time. That being said its a nice and satisfying way to tie the story up. I would love to see more in this series but I think this was meant as a finale.

Great series

The first and third books were great. The service was ok, but not up to the level of the other two.

Very simple listens. I think I plowed through ask 3 in 4 or 5 days.

Well performed, too.

Worthy effort and worth the listen.

great finish?

if this is where the series ends I'd be totally satisfied, though I'd love more.
I like how the author mostly doesn't sugarcoat the time period, though I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a few complaints. I liked it though. Thumbs up

Beat Trilogy Ever!

I finished the first 2 and the 3rd one was only out in text version! I downloaded it but couldn’t take the time to read it. Then the audio version came out and Wow!! Loved it!! Sad it’s over 😢 But so happy it was such a great trilogy!! Great narrator!!!

Enjoyed all the way to the end!!

Started from the first book now I am here all the way at the end, and I’m glad I stayed around. Beautiful ending to a good book that I got lost in. Sad to see it end and wish for more stories like this!

It stood it’s space in time

Not bad at all. It was a simple listen. It didn’t require a bunch of thought to follow and narration was steady and even. Character development good. A bit predictable at times but not in a bad way. Grab the box set or listen to the first two for free and grab the last one when it comes out for free.

A fairly solid ending to the trilogy

Overall I’d recommend for a listen. The stories were drawn out a little too long and with some predictability but if you are a history buff you’ll appreciate the blend of characters with real persons in history.

Yes, you can pick apart the decisions of the characters or plot lines but ultimately this is a novel and one to get lost in for a few hours.

This audio book has duality.

First it makes a good action book. With the protagonist fighting the pirates and avenging his friends. The ending also made me emotional. I'm usually a stoic person not liking to show emotion. I also like the three main characters and how they stuck to their morals.
