About this listen

History shapes those who travel through it.

Determined to save the antiques store she has inherited from ruin after the unexplained disappearance of her parents, Sarah Lester discovers a jumbled collection of vintage postcards that leads her on a journey through time.

Unprepared for the story the postcards weave about their reclusive former owner, Sarah’s life is thrown into disarray as she is transported to Victorian London, colonial New Zealand, and to the British Raj in 19th-century India.

Sarah’s journey through time could solve the mystery of her parents’ disappearance. But one impossible question remains: What will staying in the past do to her future?

Not entirely original but and interesting read.

As an Outlander fan from way nack I giive any time travel fiction at least a try. This one is good, though I am through the 1st of the series and have no clue as to whyand how our main character travels through time. Our heroine is likeable and capable on minute but sometimes seems like the most self involved individual ever. I havent decided if I will go on to the 2nd book. I want to know what happens, but not driven to find out.

Wow!

This audiobook warrants a review from me which i rarely give anything other than stars unless im deeply moved and this book is imaginative and unique and just plain wonderful! Kudos to the author on this wonderful story! I loved how each postcard brought something different for the reader. I’m absolutely stoked for book two and I can’t believe I’ve missed these great books for four years! lol well I’m so happy I’ve found them now, thoroughly enjoyed this novel! 😍

Not Really Stand Alone

The many different characters in the various different times were great. But, it's not really a standalone book. If you want a book that has a good conclusion this is not it. You have to read the next one.

Not for Children

Just wanted to let the listeners know that this book is rated R so parents should use discretion. That being said, I enjoyed the book. It was a fun listen. Now I'm hooked into the series! LOL!

Twisty!

I loved it! I assume some things will be ironed out in the sequels, so I’m not going to comment on loose ends. Thinking about some of the things that happened and the consequences after Sarah left makes me sad…like what happens after tea with the Rajah. But if you want to know what I’m talking about, you must read it yourself. xxx ;^)

Time Traveled WORTHY!

I love the depth of descriptions of the items and the surroundings in each layer of the book.

like not loved

I did like the story but there were some things I wish were explained like the maid. When her made her first jump, she came back and found out that she was deathly sick. Was it because of disease... modern days?
Did she ever recover... I mean all the stuff that she did really messed up the timeline... i think they could have covered that a little better...

Interesting, but no ending

Echoing another reviewer, the story is at times confusing. The end of the 1st book doesn't seem to wrap up much, almost as if the book was split for length rather than reaching at least a partial conclusion.
I picked up the 1st book as part of Audible Plus, and will likely eventually pick up the rest of the series for Audible credits.
