Publisher's summary

Four fates collide in this avian-inspired, epic fantasy retelling of Tristan and Isolde, perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Sabaa Tahir, and Leigh Bardugo!

A princess longing to be free...

On the dawn of her courtship trials, Princess Lyana Aethionus knows she should be focused on winning her perfect mate, yet her thoughts wander to the open sky at the edge of her floating kingdom. One final adventure calls. Upon fleeing the palace, the last thing she expects to find is a raven prince locked in a death match with a dragon.

A bastard aching to belong...

Reviled son of a dead king, Rafe would do anything for his beloved half-brother Prince Lysander Taetanus, including posing as him in the upcoming courtship trials. When a dragon interrupts their secret exchange, he orders his studious sibling to run. After suffering a fatal blow, Rafe is saved by a beautiful dove who possesses forbidden magic, just like him.

Fate brought them together, now destiny will tear them apart...

Unknown to the world above, on the foggy sea 10,000 feet below, a young king fights a forgotten war. He believes Lyana is the queen prophesied to save the world, and with the help of his favored spy, hidden deep in the highest ranks of the dove royal house, he will stop at nothing to have her.

Three shocking betrayals. Two star-crossed lovers. One unforgettable journey. If you like fierce heroines, brooding heroes, forbidden romance, and action-packed magical adventures with twists you'll never see coming, don't miss The Raven and the Dove!

I love every second of this book, from the story to the amazing performance done by the person reading it. I found myself plunged into world of magic, love, royalty and secrets. I can't wait for the second book to come!!!

I hated the narrator

I love the book but the narrator ruined it. Although the story broke my heart. Not the ending I was looking for. :(

such a fun read

I crave some good old love "triangles" and amazing fantasy world building, and this hit the spot. So many secrets, betrayals, and surprises. I gasped and squealed every other chapter!
I can't wait for the second book!

Love!

This was my second time listening to the first book. I finally got my hands on the second one, and couldn’t recall exactly where we left off. I couldn’t recall the details. I listened to this book 2 years ago. It was even better the second time. I highly recommend this book, and this series. I’ll never understand why it isn’t more popular. I’ll never understand why the author hasn’t received a movie deal, or TV show. It should be that popular. Listen to this one.

The cover sold this book for me

Decent story. Good Narrator. Love the spy games going on. Adore the cover.

Fantasy book with a black female on the cover?  I'm immediately interested!. This is a beautiful cover that made me buy this book without even knowing what it was about. Honestly, I went in thinking this book was about angels. But the truth is better. They're a mix of human and birds.

The romance is EXACTLY the type of Young Adult love story I hate... falling for someone at first sight. Everyone who reads fantasy has read a tournament style book before.  The only difference with this one is that if you lose, then you go home lonely. Win and you go home mated.

Now this isn't The Notebook or Love Jones, but it is one of the better teenage love stories that I've read in a few years. The story is actually interesting even if the romance part is juvenile. Why do we push so many stories where these 16, 17, 18 year olds are falling into forever love with the first guy they date. Not saying it doesn't happen, but really folks? OK, forgive my rant.

I would have given this a higher score but for the immaturity of the female lead. It is hard to think this young dove is ready for MARRIAGE if she still acts so young. Decent story. 3 Stars.

Immediate Five Stars

I knew this book was going to get five stars from me before I was half way through. I love the characters, I love the story, I love the avians! I’m so happy to have found this series.

Eh.

The concept was cool but there was too many similarities between other novels, and there was no real chemistry between any of the characters. It was falling apart at the seams.

Can’t tell if it’s the story or the girl reading… very bored with this. I found nothing that interested me
