Trying to imagine what this will look like and compare it to the animation is gonna be interesting. This one was all about battle and fighting the tortoise.

I loved this volume as well. I’ve pretty much left this series to audiobooks because I’ve been enjoying them so much.

A great time

In this time around I am grateful for the narrator for bring out the intense parts of what went down with Resurrection Spirit Tortoise and Kyo. It shows that Naofumi was not one man army he had depend on everyone help to take down the enemy for it was a group effort. I am looking forward to next volume of the series to continue with same narrator. Thank you.

What does it mean to sacrifice when the world enters into Wave of Disaster that threatens destroy everything and everyone? Fitora asks this one time to Naofumi if he could forget his grieves and reconcile with the Heroes. Naofumi said he will try despite Three the Heroes refusing to cooperating. If the Heroes are not strong enough to repel against the waves? What will what happen to the world? If the people who relies on Four Heroes and they don't have strength to defend against the waves? Then world will demand sacrifices in order to survive against Waves of Disaster. Spirit Tortoise is one of the failsafe incase the Heroes were not strong enough and act as barrier against invaders. Obviously something went horribly wrong with Spirit Tortoise went on rampage on cities and people leaving deaths and ruin in its wake. Naofumi and his companions knew what they in for while Three Heroes still act like in a game. Which what cause dearly to Ren,Motoyasu, and Itsuki resulting betrayal and deaths to their parties.

This story is what I wished that season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero could have been properly adapted instead of being a rushed mess.

I cannot stand the narrator. Honestly the worst of any audiobook I’ve listened to so far.

Story is fine, it’s a lull in the books at this point

I didn't like the audio. I am frustrated by the odd pauses and herky jerky narration. Idk if the VA here is trying to mimic Billie Kametz or Stephen Fu but it doesn't resonate with me. The story itself was ok. My least favorite book in the series so far. Hopefully things will pick up next book.
