Editorial reviews

Few people think of Oscar Wilde as an author of children's books but in 1888, Wilde published the The Happy Prince and Other Tales a compendium of children's tales and poems. "The Selfish Giant" is one of those stories. Told in the style of fables and fairy tales, this parable relates the legend of a great giant and his beautiful garden. David Ian Davies' performance is endearing and authentic. Produced with children in mind, Davies has a special way of appealing to young listeners.
