About this listen

Second in the Sh!t No One Tells You series, in The Sh!t No One Tells You About Toddlers Dawn Dais tells it like it is - again - offering real advice for parents of growing children. Filled with tips, encouragement, and a strong dose of humor, The Sh!t No One Tells You About Toddlers is a survival handbook for parents on the edge.

Coming from one empathetic parent to another, the tips in this book are real, clever, honest, and designed to make life with a terrible two- or three-year-old a little bit more manageable. Hilarious, helpful, and handy, this book will be appreciated by any parent who has asked, "Why didn't anybody warn me that unconditional love would be so much work?"

The author touched on some very relatable topics.
lost me a few times in the narration. Overall great listen

Informative book

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Was a good listen until she started to describe sexism and how it’s harder for women to progress in the world of business. Lost my interest since I believe everyone is given ample opportunity to grow and progress if they choose.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Not sure anybody would.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dawn Dais again?

Definitely No!

How could the performance have been better?

Need someone credible to tell the story. Neither the author nor the list of people she referenced in the book have any more knowledge than an average person on the street.

Any additional comments?

I only got to the first few chapters before I have to put the book down. It was boring, non-informative, and just a waste of time. Its better off as a fiction book. I was hoping it would get better but it never did. Wished I could get my money back.

Bad! Don't waste your time or money.

What disappointed you about The Sh!t No One Tells You About Toddlers?

This book is full of sarcasm and opinions and very little research-based parenting information.

What could Dawn Dais have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The author quotes research to support her stance on spanking, but she discounts the research that supports the negative impact that media use and screen time have on child development.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Meredith Mitchell?

The narrator was good.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's funny.

Not research-based

No wonder this book was free. It’s not good. It’s just complaining about children. No thanks
