Publisher's summary

The fourth book in Dawn Dais's popular Sh!t No One Tells You series offers honest and “laugh out loud” (Parents) advice for expectant parents

Pregnancy is about more than scanning Pinterest for baby shower themes and registering for ironic onesies. Sometimes, the less flattering aspects of gestation can dim a bit of that so-called pregnancy glow. Not to worry! Dawn Dais is here, ready to shepherd listeners through the experience of one human body taking on the task of growing another human body. (Spoiler alert: It’s not always pretty.)

Dawn covers it all, sharing expert lists, tips, warnings, and even a series of Parent-Training Workouts designed to increase listeners' tolerance to the various indignities of parenthood, like peeing with an audience and surviving an afternoon in Chuck E. Cheese. The Sh!t No One Tells You About Pregnancy is a must-have guide for expectant moms (and their partners!) who are looking for some counsel, comedy, and camaraderie during their ultimate countdown to parenthood.

Real raw info, and hilarious!

I truly enjoyed this listen and will most definitely listen to this book again every trimester as I go along in my pregnancy to remind myself of the s*** no one tells you and that I got this! This book was so informative, especially for new parents. I recommend you and your partner listen to this! My partner would walk in and stay to listen for a few and didn’t leave without a laugh! Oh Dawn wherever you are, May God bless you with a special gift and from my family to yours, A BIG THANK YOU!

Great if it's your first and need a laugh!

I thought this was funny and gave me a good laugh. Some parts were helpful or informative if it's your first. There are partner and real mom stories that add a neat perspective as well. I also think dads could enjoy this and maybe learn something when mom is done reading it.

Quirky wonderful and raw read. Thank you.

This is my first pregnancy and I am enjoyed this book greatly. I liked the humor and the feel of realness. I loved hearing the moms as well as the partners perspective too. I think it was a good mix of expectations v reality, a touch of badassery and a lot of things I didn’t know I had to both look forward to and look out for. Thank you.

Every Pregnant Woman Should Listen to This

Informative and REAL! I didn’t feel like I was just being bombarded with more technical information. This book helped me relax but also know the most important things to consider throughout each phase. I loved hearing from the spouses of those who are pregnant!

perfectly sarcastic and heartwarming

loved this book! She does a marvelous job talking about pregnancy in a sarcastic and light way. I also really enjoyed the partner corners, I really valued having that perspective and I am going to have my husband listen to more than a few of them.

Researching Pregnancy

I preordered this book and listened to it in one full day while on my honeymoon. We are planning to get pregnant and Dawn did a great job keeping me engaged. I throughly enjoyed the humor and appreciated the curse words every now and then. A great read/listen for women and partners.

Fantastic listen

I loved this book so much. I’m currently experiencing my first pregnancy and am terrified. It was nice to hear from different people that were interviewed throughout the book on different situations. I laughed out loud quite frequently and it was a nice, easy listen while being informative.

The content is good, The humor is meh

I really think that I would like this book a whole lot more if the sense of humor wasn’t so goofy. I find myself rolling my eyes constantly. There’s good information in this book, and maybe it’s not just for me so I’m not going to tell you not to buy it. If you don’t find goofy over the top sarcasm annoying, you might really like this book. I think it’s a personal preference.
