The story was pretty good. It was kind of hard to follow though. Definitely not something to listen to unless you can focus in it.

Not bad

I did see it coming. Stupid ending, I would have liked it better if it had a different ending. Forgettable

The ending really ruined it for me

I had some questions throughout this book yet it all came together in the end. What a twist.

This book was too dark and depressing for me. There was literally not one good thing that happened in the entire book. The storyline was interesting and decently written, but there was an undercurrent of abuse, neglect, and mental illness throughout the whole thing.

Depressing

This book does not give you the warm and fuzzies. It is hard to listen to at times due to the abuse and the constant reminder at the tragic loss of life. At the end I was relieved that it was over because I just couldn’t take it anymore. BUT that all likely means it did exactly what the author intended which is to keep us engaged and invested. The narrator was great and the story was also good. My heart just couldn’t take anymore!

Not a feel good read

That is the craziest ending of a book I have ever listened to. Seriously never saw it coming. Highly recommended

Crazy!

I enjoyed this listen and the narrator. I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s definitely one that leaves you sitting in stunned silence—even if you do figure it out beforehand.

Well that was disturbing…

I think it was terrible how one sister was violent and abusive to another sister. I was not expecting that. Knowing what repeated abuse can do to someone it was hard to read about. I figured out a twist in the story before it was revealed, but there was another surprise that I didn't figure out so that was interesting. This audiobook was recommended by a book club member of mine. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have read it. I do not like reading about abuse.
