Publisher's summary

When the new provincial governor arrives in Corinth, the esteemed Chief Magistrate Narkis Ligus, father to Mariana and Prima, is delighted. He sees a golden opportunity to propel himself to greater power and fortune by uniting his and the governor’s households through the marriage of one of his beautiful unwed daughters to the governor’s firstborn son.

Yet complications quickly arise in Narkis’s own family. Mariana, his stepdaughter, holds steadfast faith in Yeshua, rendering her hesitant to marry a man devoted to the Roman gods, despite Narkis’s urging. On the other hand, Prima, his daughter by birth, yearns for a life of wealth and status and is willing to go to great lengths to secure a marriage that fulfills her desires—even if it means betraying Mariana to do so.

“Angela Hunt takes her craft to new heights—and depths—as she fully immerses us in the lives and struggles of first-century followers of Yeshua.”—Tamera Alexander, bestselling author on The Woman from Lydia

True Sisters

Excellent listen, the ending was a surprise. Didn't see it coming. Totally worth the credit. Well written, I missed a lot of sleep because I just couldn't stop the narration, wanted more. Sequel?

Sisters of Corinth

Outstanding narration. The story captivated me from the beginning and kept me engaged. I found the implementation of the loyalty test to sift out the Christians interesting. The gladiator scene was realistic. It ended on a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next in the series. Angela Hunt is an auto buy Biblical fiction author for me. High faith content.

Great book , not the best ending.

I really loved this book! I love books that help scripture come to life in the setting of the time and what the culture was like in the time of Jesus. This was a realistic and compelling book, I only have two things I was disappointed with. 1. The narrator of prima, sometimes it was hard to listen to only because she played the evil brat well, it sounded annoying. So maybe more the character than the narrator’s problem. 2. The ending.. for me it was left open leaving me thinking there must be a third book. But, no for me the ending was very disappointing. But definitely worth listening to it was a great book overall!

Stand for Adonai no matter what

Appreciate the writing, appreciate the candor of life for early believers in the times of the Apostle Paul.

Well told

Angela Hunt has become one of my favorite authors and the narrators Rachel Botchan and Leah Horowitz have such smooth voices to listen too. I am looking forward to what comes next for all three of these people. Another book that shows the love of Jehovah and the dedication people have for Jesus and to remain true to their beliefs thank you Angela Hunt for as always doing your research and putting together another great novel

unbalanced

From a Christian author I expected much more emphasis on Christianity! there was so overpoweringly much emphasis on the paganistic practices, that I was barely able to get through the book, and really don't believe that I should have listened to it! I have prayed that the demon gods that were so emphasized in the book have not attached themselves to me in any way! the book was enlightening concerning pagan practices, but it needed to be much more enlightening on how Christians dealt with the practices, and there did not need to be nearly as much detail on the paganism! I was very disappointed!
